Yes, I would do it. Turner is a real deal, and Brand was good too before. I think the rockets can meke Brand to be a good player again, plus that we just give up a few role players for this trade, it is not bad deal as you may think.

I don't know if your roster there is indicative of a depth chart or not, but Brand is still very serviceable as a PF (he's only 6"9).

    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Turner/Taylor
    Ariza/Budinger
    Scola/Brand/Hill/Jefferies
    Yao/Hayes/Whiteside

14 man roster with lots of wiggle room. Morey could definitely take that and make a second move.

I would do it if it included Jeffries, Anderson, Taylor, and either Ariza or Battier. We keep all our other players and our draft pick.

    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Budinger
    Turner/Battier
    Scola/Hill/Brand
    Yao/14th/Hayes

Agreed. We become such a young team. Yes, Brand's contract is crap, but having Budinger, Turner, Hill, and the 14th pick ALL on the rookie scale- makes a big difference. Enough to the point where I say go for it.

Same. I would probably still do it if we gave up our 14th pick, but hesitant. My ideal trade would be Jeffries + Taylor + Battier + Anderson + future 2nd round pick? Then, Philly would most likely buyout Battier, and then we can resign him (if not, no big deal).

    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Budinger/14th (Paul George?)
    Turner/Ariza/Battier
    Scola/Brand/14th (Ekpe Udoh?)
    Yao/Hill/Hayes

Nice mixture of young talent (with loads of potential) and some vets.

I like the deals proposed in here, but don'forget, Turner is a SG, he CAN play SF/PG but if you have brandon roy talent you must not play him in his non preferential position, it like playing LBJ at PF/PG, just because he can play in those positions....

Play players where they are best at, it is like playing Hayes at the C spot, it just kills players and fans start doubting their talent

If DM puls the trigger (i doubt he will,i would), then you have Turner & Martin, and probably he will use KM to upgrade the SF/PG starting job player, i had a dream last night....

    YAO
    Scola or Brand
    Ariza
    Turner
    CP3

    OK I woke up

    IN MOREY I TRUST

Turner can play the 3 though. I think he'll be fine there. If not, maybe we can look to trade Martin.

Martin's salary isn't that of a sixth man, but I couldn't think of a better energy/scorer coming off of the bench. He would just lay waste to other teams.

I would take on a BAD CONTRACT for a good player (ie Brand) to pick up a differance maker. Brand could start and not hurt the team; by take Brand we would be saying by to Scola. With all the money (cleared cap space) out there Scola is gone any way. Scola was a hick of a find - at a great price. That was then this is now. There is no way we will sign Scola under his true value again. Let take Brand on and get the superstar we need. So - YES.

Turner is very good,I have my doubts if he will develop into a superstar. He also plays at the same position as Martin. If we could get a real difference maker at the 5/4 for Kevin,I would consider it. I don't think he can get us one. The NY pick(s) might be necessary to move up to the 2 spot in the draft.
