I personally haven't responded to your posts because I didn't want to add more crap to the GARM.

No problem, and thank you. Honestly I just am a big Rockets fan and this BBS is my main connection to that passion. I feel privileged to be here and am happy to help if I can.

I'm still of the opinion that the boards would be better served by the mods cutting this kind of crap off at the knees instead of letting it fester forever.

You know if you would mature and stop being such a douchebag you could probably could convert a lot of Lin fans to Rockets first fans. It's really a shame.

I think it's good to have Jeremy Lin on the team while Howard is trying to get his groove back. People will scrutinize and overcriticize Lin instead of Howard, which will be good for Dwight's ego. You can tell this is all a part of Morey's master plan to get a physically and mentally healthy Dwight ready to dominate in the post for years to come. We should all be thanking Lin for taking the criticism bullet for Dwight and being such a team player.

    /sarcasm lol

You're the one call me names, I only call you lou.

I'm not in the converting business, I'm sure neither is Clutch and company.
You know what Rudy T said about Non believers.

If they don't feel the passion and pride that this place, Clutchfans has for the Rockets, then they'll never convert. It's up to them, not me or you.

They have to look at the man or child in the mirror.
they have to ask themselves to make that change.

Haha! Yeah, that's why you post all the old championship stuff on this BBS? So what business are you in tinman? The "annoy anyone who isn't an old school fan" business? The "Trumpet how awesome I am" business?

Or are you just the court jester?

You must have forgotten that this is a rockets forum and the legacy of the rockets isn't meant for conversion of non rockets fans.

Its a celebration for rockets fans .

You don't understand converting . You know the people who knock on your door and ask you if you've read that book?

    That's converting.

Seeing rockets championships on a rockets site. That's not converting.

    It's just history.

All I am saying is if you drop the "I'm better than you" and condescending approach they would actually respect you and learn about Rockets history.

I mean, if you are here to spread the gospel of Clutch City - you have to tell it without insulting those you want to receive it.

I still think you got the converting thing wrong.

If a Rocket fan talks to another Rocket fan about great moments in Rockets history, that's not converting.

Converting would be taking a Vegan to Ruth Chris.

I'm not a preacher, I'm just a follower of Clutch.

C'mon Tinny baby, you are underselling yourself. You are a Rockets evangelist. You don't converse about the past, you evangelize it. You REMIND people of Rockets lore. This is not conversation - no, it is in fact gospel.

You correct the errors of people's ways tinman. When young ones say wrong things, or disrespect our past, when they get the facts wrong, you correct them. That's not a follower - that's an apostle.

You my friend are a very religious man, and your religion is Clutchism.

I like the present too but it's ironic that we needed the past to solidify the future.

Dream, Yao, Sampson, standing there with Howard.

I don't need to post anything about that, if a rocket fan doesn't get goosebumps from that, they probably don't have the love.

What is the point of creating a thread like this other then to start a ridiculous flame war.

I've read the other threads. I've seen the crazy, rabid Lin fans. And my way of dealing with them is to completely ignore them. I enjoy reading and responding to the GOOD Lin fans. This board has seen the addition of some new, quality posters ever since Lin became a "long-term" Rocket. The temporary fools on this forum will eventually be weeded out as is the natural cycle of things here.

But let's get back to you, since you are hell-bent on becoming the center of attention in this thread.

I agree with you - of course we're not all happy muppets on Clutchfans. Hell, I'm not happy with YOU. You've been a standout irritant / nuisance ever since I started reading this site. I've lurked here in early 2005, became a member in early 2007, became a contributing member circa end 2007 / early 2008, seen enough of the ups and downs of the forum between then and now, and THROUGHOUT the time I've been here, you've always been a permanent fixture on the "forum pest" list here.

Not only do you go around shoving your "standards", your conditions and your "minimum acceptable level" of "homer-ism" down our throats all the time, you are also constantly picking and provoking fights, wading into disputes, and making molehills A LOT BIGGER then necessary. And worse of all, you go around imposing complete labels / categories on certain fans and making sweeping assumptions and conclusions on us. You've stirred the crap pot with the non-Houston fans, the Yao fans, the McGrady fans, the Asian fans, the China fans, the international fans, the fans of non-Rockets players, the fans who objectively criticise your favourite past Rocket players, and now, you are categorically jumping on the Lin fans with both stiletto wearing feet. And you always justify your nonsense with the seniority of your 99 join date, and try to give it a veneer of group respectability by saying that the rest of the 99-ers and "true Rockets fans" are on your side. As if you aren't embarrassing the decent, sensible ones enough already by associating them with your firebrand way of Rocket fan-boyism.

There are rabid, illogical player-only fans, and there are rabid, illogical team fans. You're a prime example of the latter. The Rockets' answer to crazy Lakers and Knicks fans. A master e-troll. Someone who thrives on conflict and dispute and making things worse in an online forum.

That's the clear difference between you and Sweet Lou. And as I said earlier... I clearly know who gets my respect and commendation and who doesn't (not like you or I need each others respect and admiration to survive in this world anyway....).

Anyway, I've wasted 45 minutes of my life on my various posts in this stupid thread. 30 minutes of it was to get 8 years of annoyance against you off my chest, but now, that's it. I've got plenty of more important and urgent things to do in my life then to go about on Clutchfans preaching on and on about whatever makes me tick in life. So over and out.
