    Ron-Ron + Sheed?
    = "Malice Part 2"

No. Not Sheed - unless........................................ Never mind.

    ...

Yao should be cutting his minutes from 35-40 to around 30, in which getting a backup C is very crucial, more than the PG issue.

    Starting PG: Brooks. Healthy? Yes.
    Backup PG: Lowry. Healthy? Yes.
    Starting C: Yao. Healthy? 50:50.
Backup C: Deke? Healthy? No more. We really need a damn healthy C.

So is getting a PG our priority? Not yet.
Unless we tweak our big man position first.

    Here are my picks:
    2011
    Josh Boone

    2009-10
    Francisco Elson

    Jamaal Magloire

    Joel Anthony

Marcin Gortat - though, highly unlikely. Dunno with Orlando.

Hamed Haddadi - as a third stringer C in Memphis, dude doesn't have a chance. But as a backup C with Deke, and a hurting Yao, he might.

Chris Andersen - the Birdman! Ultra D! not a C but we can use him as C instead of Chuck playing out of position.

And, Zaza Pachulia - the best we can snare in the offseason. Offensively and defensively, we can definitely use him.

Affordable, usable backup Cs which should still give some flexibility - which includes making Brian Cook to opt out of his player option.

The draft? Don't even think about it, the pool of 7-footers will be gobbled up by the lottery teams. Unless we're asking for a miracle like stealing Hasheem Thabeet. And my gut feeling says the Rockets will take another PG, SG or super-undersized PF in the draft, ala-Joey Dorsey, Brad Newley or Maarty Leunen, again. Ugh. No 6-10, 6-11, 7-0 backup for God's sake.

Ratliff's a decent candidate but it's still questionable. And he's old and injury-prone, it's just like replacing a flat tire with another flat tire. He'll break down like Deke, only 5x faster. Deke was still damn durable even at his 40s. So Ratliff's out of the books. We need healthier guys, but doesn't necessarily mean younger. Just healthy backups whom you can put into the field with solid plays day in day out, which will eventually easen up Yao's minutes too. Heh. I hope the management is aware of this. Les and Morey still have the final say.

I would rather see us sign Marcin Gortat. He is a really good backup center for Dwight which is why he's overlooked. He can rebound and block shots very well and his offense is underrated. If we had him we could use him as a backup for Yao or have him play some minutes at PF with Yao in to lockdown the paint. The polish hammer would be great for our team. :D If anyone knows anything about him, then you know what I'm saying.

...But if we can't get him or someone better than Zaza would be a great second option for us.

Well Theo is only 36. If he's going to be the next Mutombo he's got at least 10 years left in his career as long as he stays healthy.

    They'll demand more than MLE.
