An STD is worth more than T-Mac at this point in time...

Even still, this might be the most positive TMac thread I've ever seen on Clutchfans post-2006.

I'm shocked by the results of this poll. I guess time heals all wounds.

it's nice to see true rockets fans finally understand the greatness that is tracy mcgrady. true rockets fans will recognize all the good memories, good times, and excitement he brought to our organization and will respect him for all of that.

I agree, except that I hate to use the term "true fans". I can see true fans being frustrated with the way things ended. But McGrady invested a lot of sweat and tears into some truly awful Rockets teams, and has never turned against the city, so I respect him for that.

As for Parsons - I thought there was a contingent of people around here claiming he WAS worth a max contract a few weeks ago. I guess they all disappeared.

rockets fans voted t-mac to the all-decade team of the 2000s for a reason. t-mac was awesome for us. who can forget the 22-game win streak he led us to achieve and the 13 in 35 comeback against san antonio?

that's why leslie alexander still respects him and maintains a positive relationship with him. leslie alexander routinely invites t-mac to sit courtside next to him at games.

leslie alexander respects t-mac so all rockets fans should too.

A million times over I would rather have T-Mac than Jason Terry. C'mon, Morey, make it happen!

TMac can't play anymore - Chandler can...give me the player over the has been, no matter what the cost.

This is a terrible perspective. Glad you aren't running this team Dakota.

Hmmmmm, let me think, pay a role player like a star, or pay a scrub like a scrub? This one's pretty easy, T-Mac can't be any worse than Casspi was last year, and Parsons conprimises the team of any flexibility moving forward. The appropriately played 12th man is the way to go.

I think if DM was put in a situation where he is forced to either match Chandler's contract or give Mcgrady a veterans minimum contract...he'd probably choose McGrady and get a WHOLE lot of backlash from everyone. The thing is though, that's just how bad Chandler's contract is. I'd rather waste one roster spot (15th man) than 25 percent of the salary cap.

The decision has nothing to do with the players, but everything to do with the Rockets.

T-mac can inspire Jason Terry to drop 30 points a night in Houston like he did when he saw T-mac on the Rockets.
