Would you rather have morey trade for Kaman, p.Gasol, or stand pat...?

Well, that...and cap space and he's the best player in deal. Rockets have backups that could fill other spots (and in my opinion Patterson and Lee are already better than Martin and Scola). Plus, the Rockets get younger with Gasol. Other older players leaving opens up roster spots for younger players.

So to recap, the only reasons to trade for Gasol (assuming Dragic and old players are primary pieces) are:

1. Get better
2. Get younger
3. Create cap space
4. Attempt to lure another star

 

Dirk got his ring as the first banana.
Gasol got his two as the sidekick to the Mamba.

There was a fair amount of debate/ complaining about the fact he didn't get it. Fair amount of commentary suggesting he was the most important player on the Lakers in those championship runs.

We could go after pau, but if d-will doesn't come with, its pointless and takes us a step back. Kaman is clearly the safest choice. We get a very capable center (if he can stay healthy) and 12 mill expiring this offseason. I'd go with giving them scola if they would take him, we'd prob haft to throw in the knicks pick but that fine. Scola has been playing very, bland...if your making 8.5 mill a year you can't play bland, especially if your 31 declining and have a 4 year contract. We'd be lucky for N.O to take him for an expiring. As for standing Pat, ***** that. Dear god am i tired of standing pat. Scola, dragic, hill, will and the knicks pick for kaman and vasquez- the dude is a good back up and is under contract for 3 years.

 

Has mcHale lost trust in Hill or is he on the trade block?

Lakers get:Hill,Scola and Martin

Houston gets: gasol

 

Hill's playing. McHale must be on it that Hill plays his best the first time he's put in.

 

If the Rockets can get Kaman for Hill and the 09 DNPs I think they have to. I think this OKC win is a season changer.

 

Contractwise it's alright. Gasol better be moved in the summer.

He's the type of elite, pick-and-roll BIG we need to pair up with Lowry.

Wow Lin 9 TO and 5 assists. That turnover number has been climbing as teams have been figuring him out. I expect him to continue to fall off. His ability to penetrate defenses is legit, but his passing and ball-handling are issues, and his ISO defense is bad due to below average wingspan and lateral quickness.

Hopefully this is the start of a big drop for NYK.

 

Pau Gasol please. We need a post option in the worst way.

 

I think it would be better to go after Kaman. That way we would only have to give up one of Scola or Martin in the package deal. I hope it is Scola( no disrespect ) because Pats has shown that he can start.

 

Right now both Scola and Martin are both not panning out. I guess we can go after the big Fish.... sadly it has to be Gasol.
