Wallace also provides a finisher on fast breaks (I can't be the only one that gets annoyed at fluffed fast break layups this team consistently does), no one can stop Crash on the break.

Wallace is the much better value at this point. I would think he's the player that Morey would want between the two. Not so sure Adelman wants him back after trading him from Sacramento because he couldn't understand the system.

Wallace will be 29 this summer and is only locked up for 2 more years....Iggy just turned 27 and has 3 more years left....

Iggy is obviously more expensive, but both of them are going to decline faster because athleticism is a big part of their game...acquiring either one is about getting back to contention, not rebuilding, so i'd rather have a 3 yr window if that's the case, but obviously the difference in outgoing players could change my view.

Wallace's issue wasn't the system (the guy is not T-Will), it was that he was very young and raw (and still hadn't really learned to control his own speed), combined with the fact that Sacramento had an all-star as their small forward.

You're just not getting minutes in a lineup like that, even Adelman's comments point that out "he didn't know what to do with him", because the spot was filled with a 38-40mpg all-star.

exactly. Wallace brings us more defense and rebounding. Something we need. Iggy is fine if we lose martin lowry or brooks.

then we just need a shot blocker along the lines of javale mcgee, deandre jordan, ibaka.Doesnt need to be dikembe mutombo or olajuwon, but someone that can plug the paint and guard opposing bigs.

Tough decision to make if you could pick one or the other.

Iggy's a good all around player Wallace is a very good defender and rebounder. Iggy's contract is toxic. Wallace contract is close to that of Martin and Scola.

Not knowing what the CBA entails and what the cap will be and its limitations/flexability .... taking on either might be troublesome going forward.

I do like Wallace as an upgrade to Battier. Just not sure I like another $9-$11m player on this roster tho he Lowry and Martin may fit well as a combination.

If I had to pick one , I guess it would be Wallace.

There's another reason non basketball related that i think they'd favour Wallace.

The guy is the 2nd incarnation of the human highlight film, go take a look at Charlotte game highlights on nba.com, 75% of them are him, guys like that put bums in seats.

Gerald Wallace because he's one of the better all-around defenders in the league. He can guard the 2, 3, and even the 4 if you really need him to. He can protect the bucket on help defense, and when you actually make a stop on defense he's one of the best rebounding SFs in the league.

Not to mention, in 2012, if the Rockets are in play for a superstar FA, his $12 million expiring contract will be a pretty decent asset to have.

For talent alone, Iggy is the better player. But Wallace has a better contract and is probably easier to get.

Neither. I would like a solid center. Getting anyone of these will not solve the most critical need of the team and it would only divert resources and attention from their real needs.

At this point, the Rockets should only trade in order to significantly advance to being championship contenders, and they should not be paying attention to trading for the sake of looking like they are doing something.

    wallace all day baby.

AI 2.0 is one of the few players I've ever seen to be under rated, then become over rated.

I'd take Iggy just cuz he is 2 yrs younger for a similar, way less injury prone player. I'd like the idea of getting him then moving Scola in a deal for a center. Lowry Martin Iggy Chuckwagon (center) would be nice solid D team. I think his assists would go up alot with Kmart next to him, and Kmart will getting more open looks if the threat Iggy posterizing them :)

Ya well so do the teams they are currently on. Thats the problem with wanting the same thing everyone else wants, you don't always get it.
