Im 6'1 and weight 200 and im in pretty good shape, i work out 5 times a week. Ill take 2 punks that are 5'8 170 instead of a 6'4 230 pound guy. Ill throw a over hand right at the first dude and knock him out cold and the second dude will run off after seein his punk friend get dropped
I didn't think of this...this is excellent. Hurt the first one so bad that the second one will be scared and run...excellent.
This thread shows who watches too many Van Damme movies and who has actually had the unfortunate luck of being in some scraps. Unless you have some very serious skills you fight the one big guy. Actually, most guys with serious skills will tell you that you are better off fighting the one big guy. Of course, if you watched enough Van Damme movies and feel you can pull it off I suggest you do the move where each guy comes at you from an opposite side at the exact same time. Once they are close enough you do the jump/split kick and simultaneously knock both guys out. Don't forget to flex your upper body and make the distressed/constipated sound and facial expression immediately after you land on your feet after executing the move. Take care and keep kicking.
Uh, I had this same situation happen to me back in the late '60's, in downtown Houston, after leaving a club. I had long hair, halfway down my back, which was a magnet for drunken redneck chumps to have some "fun" with a "peace-loving" hippie. They expected me to be a patsy, I guess, and had been drinking a lot. One of them took a swing at me and I got pissed off, proceeding to do what I described. Kicked the first guy (the one who clipped my jaw with a right, stunned me for a second, then I saw red) square in the balls, and then started hammering the other guy. He started to run. I guess he was surprised that I was responding, instead of pleading for mercy, or some absurd thing, and his buddy was on the ground grabbing his crotch and moaning big time. I gave him a couple of hard kicks to the body while he was on the ground, told him to get ****ed, yelled at the other guy who was running to come back, and then realized I had a chick standing there freaking out. She kept asking me if I was all right. We split. It was a very weird experience, I can tell you. I didn't realize how sore my jaw was until later, or that I was breathing really, really hard. It all happened in seconds. My father was a boxer in high school in the 1930's, who did very well in competitions and he told me, long before, that since I didn't have any training, to be fast and dirty if anything like that ever came up, and then to get the heck out of Dodge. It must have stuck. Had great sex that night. I don't know if it was the fight, or if it was her relief that we were all right. I'm sure it was a combination of things. Later, I realized how scared I must have been. We both were. Anyone who claims they aren't frightened in a situation like that is either lying or someone like Sishir, who could pound hippies while brushing his teeth and combing his hair. Violence is bad, bad news. Avoid at all costs. Sometimes, people won't let you do that. I don't know what I'd do today, being middle-aged with a surgically repaired back. Probably be in BIG trouble.
Speaking of Two small people, I didn't realize this show on TLC about a couple of little people was shot in Houston. Has anybody seen them filming in town? Oh yeah, and one big guy always. Two little kids could probably cause more havoc than one person against you. I've never been a real multi person fight, but the school I went to had rookie night for the new kids and Senior night at the end of the year for the graduating seniors. Both involve the rest of the student body "fighting" (mostly wrestling and rough housing) against the rookies/seniors on their respective nights. Looking back, it was kind of like a prison type of mentality to do something like that. I don't think freshmen at Exeter are getting pounded on.
It depends. Who is in better shape? Are the smaller guys mini-Oscar De La Hoyas? Or are they like this? Does the bigger guy look like this or this? It's not about weight, it's about physical conditioning. If the small guys are little De La Hoyas, then gimme the Nutty Professor. I'll kick his fat ass!
No. If you're the kind of guy that's going to stand a chance against 2+ guys, you're probably the kind of guy that is aware of his surroundings... what soldiers and firefighters call "situational awareness." Nobody in a fight is a passive participant unless they choose to be one. Even if you're "surprised" and outmanned, you can influence the dynamic enough to give yourself the best chance. Much of fighting is psychological. If you want to improve your odds, think clearly, act decisively.
A bunch of guys here seem to think going for the nads is a good move. The nads are well protected and hard to get a good shot on unless the fight has gone to the ground. Personally have had this happen twice and both times it went poorly for them. It really is a poor move. If you want to fight dirty go for the throat but that is lethal force so legal consequences there. I have seen tons of bar fights and never saw the nut shot technique go well.
I'll take the one big guy, because most times when I get in fights the dudes always bigger than me so thats not a problem. People who saying they will take the two small guys just remember this just because their small doesn't mean they can't fight. Fighters come in all shapes and sizes, I've seen with my own eyes a small dude that beat the hell out of a big guy.
But why run? If you have to fight and think you can't win take your ass kicking like a man don't run thats what cowards do.
I must be mistaken for getting mugged in a dark alley... I usually lose track of what the topic of discussion is about, but of course I'll take my ass beating with dignity and respect... I try not to be in a position of fist and altercation at best... But if I do have to fight whether against 1 guy or 2, find the nearest taxi and get the hell out of there...
Wow. The poll is a lot closer than I thought it would be. Either due to my question being too general or some posters here who are expert fighters (or think they are). To be more specific about my question, the height/weight is just a guideline. I'm basically asking if you would fight someone significantly bigger than you, someone who you wouldn't mess with normally. Or 2 small guys who are significantly smaller than you, who you'd probably think "I can take him out easily" if it was only one guy. As for physical conditioning, assume they are in the same shape as you. As for skill level, you have no clue. (probably best to assume average skill level).
i'm 5'7 about 170, i'd probably fight the bigger guy, or fight 2 bigger guys. i don't care. i'm gonna get my shots in, either way, small or big, they're leaving the fight with a broken nose, busted lips, and black eyes. book it.
