I was arguing with a buddy of mine that I would rather face 1 big guy than 2 smaller guys. He thinks fighting 2 small guys would be easier due to strength and size/reach advantage. But I think 2 guys, no matter how small (besides midgets, etc.) can surround a person and deal more damage. What do you guys think?
It depends the size difference I would suggest. I'm only small myself but I would suggest that outside of trying to find a giant of a person, two people my size would be very unfair. I think once the bigger person gets to a certain size though, just their sheer weight would become a problem for the two smaller people. Thats one very big human being though!
I have to agree with you. Most people aren't skilled enough to fight one person, let alone 2. This isn't the movies where they each wait to fight you.. those two smaller guys are going to bum rush you. At least with the big guy, you have only one opponent to face.
you take the one big guy. i'm a small guy, if i had another guy the same size as me fighting a guy only 5 inches taller and only 50 or 60 pounds heavier he would be screwed.
1 big guy for sure. Unlike Hollywood, most fights end up on the ground pretty quickly, and you are screwed if two guys jump on you. I mean, unless you are Mike Tyson and can knock one of the guys out immediately, you are not going to win (unless you have some sort of HUGE pain threshold) With one bigger guy, you just have to hope to get a couple of stunners in before it goes to the ground
Hmm, I think I messed up the height/weight in the polls. The small guys are not nearly that much smaller. I should have put: Big Guy: 4-6 inches taller (than you), 40-60 pounds heavier 2 Small Guys: 3-5 inches shorter, 25-30 pounds lighter Even then, I would still pick the big guy.

Here's my breakdown of the fight: Big Guy: 6'4 - 6'6 around 215ish 2 Small Guys: 5'5-5'7 around 145ish I might not beat the crap out of the big guy but the small guys will sure as hell beat the crap out of me.

You could possibly get a big guy fatigued easier than two short guys. The two short guys would get you tried quicker.
A "big guy" in my case would weigh around 245 pounds. If he isn't Ron Artest (in which case I'm probably dead) then he is in all likelihood fat and slow. So I'd much rather fight one big guy.
I would match up against: Big Guy: about 6' and 190 2 Small guys: about 5' 4" and 110 lbs. I'd much rather fight the 2 small guys as they're likely to be knocked out easier.
For me, big guy = 6'4, 210 lbs 2 small guys = 5'8, 140 lbs I'd rather fight one big guy. Bc 140 x 2 = 280, and 280 > 210, and 4 arms > 2 arms, and 2 faces to smash in > 1 face to smash, and so on. you get the point.

Depends how you backed yourself on being able to incapacitate one of the two guys early on, longer it goes with 2 guys more likely you will lost. I would take the big guy, just because they're big doesn't mean they can fight.
Would I get to carry my gun or not? This would be a big factor in me deciding whether I fight big boy or little boy.
