i would rather the second seed and have HCA in the first 2 rounds...

after that i would rather the 5th seed so we can have HCA in round 1 and a good chance at actually winning a playoff series for once.

6th seed means first round exit. the games would be pointless and everyone would already be thinking about who we are taking with the 14th pick in the draft.

for team with champions ambitions (rockets are it, i'm right?) what differents to exit in 1st round or in 2nd? both results are not satisfactory (for me). so 6th seed and chance for WCF. we need a long playoff campaign

The way I feel right now after the last 2 losses is 'give us Spurs in the 1st round!'
Use the fire of that hugely disappointing loss to stick it to Spurs, especially the way they played that game with the flopping and hacking.
Dwight will have increased his minutes by then also.
    Let's get em!

Blazers. Not even close. We know them very well from last year and we are out for revenge.

I could not care less about the Warriors in Round 2 because you have to prove yourself against the Regular season champs sooner or later.

If that means competitive games against the Splash brothers so #BE IT!

Doesn't matter who to play in the second round. We gotta think step-by-step and look to get the best fit in the first round. That would be the Mavs, but they're out of reach, so I'm going with the Blazers. They also have injury issues, Ariza can defend Lillard and with Matthews out they won't stop Harden. Plus, there's this 0.9 seconds thing from last year to get out of everybody's heads.

The ability to chose went out of the window when they allowed the Spurs to beat them two times in a row. They controlled thier destiny, and then they didn't.

Honestly i don't care much about the HCA. I think we have the most boring home court of all the playoff teams anyway. i want portland though just to get back at them for that heartbreaking lost and also to find out if we really learn anything from last season. So what if we have to face GSW in the second round. Win or lose facing them in a series will give us the experience we need looking forward. Portland and GSW being a young team will probably be very competitive for like 3 to 4 years more with the same core. Might as well face them now in a long series.

I'm not sure if I could care less if we are 5th or 6th. I'm thinking we will finish in the 5th seed just because I think SA, LAL will win their remaining games and i expect MEM to lose to GS. If HOU wins it's last 3 games (which it should) then I they would be 5th seed.

HOU needs the win against NOP today for multiple reasons to include play-off seeding and to try and keep them out of the play-offs so they will have a better draft pick this year.

If by chance HOU wins out and GS beats MEM (like they should) & by some miracle NOP beats SA, then HOU would move back into the 3rd seed. So the HOU / NOP game has a lot of importance.

Unfortunately all the other teams in the playoffs were given the blueprint by Popovich this last game in how to beat the Rockets. Losing Beverly and DMO were real back breakers for this team, I'm sure no one in here ever expected a 37 year old Jason Terry to be the rockets starting PG going into this seasons playoffs. Nuff said, hopefully they surprise us.

But it almost didn't work for Pop. Harden hits that layup at the buzzer and Pop looks like a complete moron. Also, San Antonio is comfortable going 10-11 deep(12 once Spliiter returns), so he has the fouls to spare. How many other teams will do that in the playoffs?

I think people are overreacting to the other night. Teams will use it in spurts. But not for an entire half like the Spurs did. Especially if Dwight is playing more minutes.
