Would you play Yao in the Finals if he was given the green light to play?

I think It's not a hard question. If the rocket can get in the final without Yao, they already prove that it's a strong team. There is no need for risking to break the chemistry. However, if they are gotting in trouble in the final, then Yao should be put in to take a chance.

if rockets can take part in the finals, i think there is no reason for yao to be a member of rockets!

No. It makes no sense to rush Yao back. Also he would not be in game shape. All we would gain would be to jepardize Yao's( and the Rocket's) future.

if the doctor gave a green light, it would mean he was healthy and 100% healthy. if you worry about his getting hurt again, you should never play him again.

Rushing him against doctor's opinion is totally different from getting a green light from the doctor.

Chances are Yao would not be able contibute much even if he has been given green light by the doctors with the rust he has gathered during the rest. But then, that's my guess. However, the fact is, Yao need to be in good shape to play in the Olympics to help or contribute to China
in August. He would probably need a few weeks of competitive playtime to reach the shape that allows him to help China. What would be better than some PT with Rockets to put him in shape in July? So the reason for China to disallow Yao to play may not be valid. Saying that, would it be reasonable for the Rockets to play a rusty Yao in the finals?? Anyhow, if Yao is not rusty by July, then he should be allow to play as it would improve his stamina to get ready for the Olympics.

I doubt he'd be in game shape, much less NBA Finals shape.

If he had a green light, wouldn't that imply he's healthy?!

I miss Yao. I hate what if's, but what if Big Fella was still playing. Get well, kick U.S. ass in the Olympics (yeah I said it)

If we go up against the Cs, we might need him. They were just too dominant inside last night.

I think the more important question is whether this board needs genius like you or not.

It depends who we play..if it would be the Celtics..then hell yea I'd want Yao to play...other teams in the East...umm probably not, might as well let the team chemistry go unchanged...but yes I guess you can let him close out a game it we are winning by a big margin just so he can be a part of it and get a few baskets...
