It doesn't make any sense for him to come back. He won't be ready - he's questionable for August for the Olympics - how on earth is he going to be ready two months sooner???

if he's cleared to play, i say why not? remember what he did right after he came back last year?

and what do you mean "earn it"? isn't yao still helping this team by cursing hard? dirk, west, gasol, ray allen, west (again). y'all think those are accidents? :D

Are we really saying its not a good idea to give the best center in the league an opportunity to play if he's healthy?

i don't know if it's medically possible to know whether or not the bone is entirely and permanently fused by then. I guess the question - what is the risk if it's not?

Of course the real question - does anyone know what the risk is?

But not with a Yao that has been out for 3 months, and the team continued rolling.

No way you take that risk....especially to Yao's career.

If this team can go all the way to the finals, no way should we put Yao in. That is just asking to jack up team chemistry.

If!!! Yao Ming was given an Ok to play, even though he would be quite unfit, he could play about 10 mins a game. It would give us a psycological advantage. :p

    What a stupid question.

of course, we need a super center. for example, if Yao were in tonight's game against Bobcats, they would not have made a 21-1 run cuz Yao could have scored while the other Rox were ice cold

I have to say "NO". Even if he could play, he will not be in game shape.

i would love for him to sit in the bench with his shoot around gear. This team is so close, that it wouldn't surprise me if the entire roster and morey took a long 'field trip' to china to support yao's mission.
