hard to say but yes i think i would... I mean i was expecting the max so its not really surprising and I would think the Rockets were expecting the same
This offer sheet has three things wrong with it, amount, player option and trade kicker. No dice. Thanks for the memories CP.
I would rather keep parsons, forget bosh. We got tjones who is a fine player. You got no one to replace parsons. And no, dont tell me we can get Ariza or deng.
Yes IF we get Bosh, IF NOT: Sign Deng 2 year (2nd year team option) - 10-12 mill/yr if we miss out on Bosh, and get ready for the 2015 FA (Love/Durant). Parsons is not a star, no need to pay him like one. Let Cuban sit on his 7th-8th seed for the next 3 years.
Without Bosh the rockets can still add quality players, and then sign Parsons to his big contract. I don't care if Les has to open up his wallet. His money not mine.
With the way the cap is expected to jump over the next few years 15 million won't be as big of a hit. Match.
I would not match. 15 million is too much to put on an at best 3rd option. Let the Mavs have him and screw up their cap for the next 3 years. Plus it gives us more reasons to hate the Mavs. Sign And trade for Bosh, sign Deng, sign filler and call it an offseason. Deng is a better defender anyway.
If we get Bosh, yes absolutely. Luxury tax hell for two years, but legit championship contention. If Les wants championships, we need to match.
I like Parsons and it isn't my money, so yes. I do think that's overpaying for Parsons, but if that's what the market says he's worth than maybe his value is just higher than I estimated. The fact is that the team plays better with Parsons. It will be hard to get another player at Parsons level if we don't match the offer. I would change my mind if somebody could name a player that is attainable that is also as good as Parsons and will come at a cheaper price.
