Well philly’s title odds for next season would go to 0, unless you think embiid is just done?

If you look at Embiids history he will either have another injury during next year or play injured in the playoffs. Not sure what Philly title odds are but they are so low they might as well be zero. It's not like Philly did anything with Harden, Embiid and Maxey so it's just copium if they think they will do anything now.

Meniscus tear is tough. Especially on someone that big with an injury history. He won't be the same player

Embiid is going to have no cartilage soon. They likely have to cut another part of his meniscus off to fix his current tear. His injuries are trending Yao Ming Territory

If it wasn't Morey I would send out a Godfather offer for Maxey--but he will never tank and rebuild from scratch. It's not his way

    Lol...No.

There hasn't been an MVP caliber player traded in his prime since Moses Malone (ironically also between the Rockets and 76ers).
The team that received the MVP immediately steamrolled to a championship, losing only one game through the entire playoffs.
The other team? Yeah they ended up with the worst record in the league.

Yeah but does Moses have a body like Embiids that shatters to pieces every season guaranteed

I haven’t heard of cutting out cartilage from another location to fix bucket handle tears. Generally it’s stitched back together and the recovery is 4-6 months.

Brandon Roy had his meniscus removed and that was basically the end of his career.

    True.
But there's always a trade off.

Unless you see Sengun as the centerpiece of a championship team I think it's a nonstarter for someone like Morey.

Even if he was totally unscathed by injuries, dude is not going to put himself on a team with a Front Office that has done nothing to put a championship roster around an MVP......

And the last Houston GM that worked with Harden was Morey to be exact.

Dude just had a meniscus tear you think he is in his prime? The only prime thing with Embiid is his seat on the bench.

The only steam rolling Embiid is gonna do is in NBA 2K as he is rehabbing.

What makes me laugh is the copium you have on Embiid like the dude will be healthy next season after all the injuries he has had.

Huh? The delusional one is you, you think Embiid having a meniscus tear is a figment of imagination or what? Prime refers to body condition, with all the injuries he's had Embiid is nowhere near his prime anymore esp after this latest setback. Yao Ming 2.0.

What you think is more probable, Embiid being 30 next year and never having played more than 68 games his entire career is gonna have a fully healthy season next year and lead Sixers to a ring or he ends up injured again like he has done for his entire career thus far? And you are saying I am the one delusional? Wtf.

And the crazy thing is Embiid hasn't even reached ECF, the furthest he has gone is semis and you act like he a world beater or something, he's never been healthy in any playoffs he's had either always playing banged up and with a limp. Again who is the delusional one here?

The likelihood is that Embiid It’s not going to do much more than be able to put together a single season where he is healthy and they can make a run in the playoffs.

I think that is a fair combination of what y’all are saying and reality.

Are we really still arguing this? Neither team would make this trade, it makes both teams worse. Philly is setup to win now (or soon) and Sengun would ruin their window. It would be immediately closed. Houston has a promising young core and is set up to improve, develop young players, and possibly contend in like 3-5 years. Why would they want an injury prone 30 year old MVP candidate. This would be a lose/lose.
