Would you date someone you met from the Internet?

  1. Yes, I would, but only for a few dates in an attempt to get laid.

Phil Hendrie Show fans will get a kick out of this...I only wish I could have heard it here in Houston (doesn't air here anymore).

    Synopsis from a previous show:

Bobbi Dooley is quite upset upon discovering two couples living at Western Estates met each other, one via the Internet and the other in a bar. This is not only sad and pathetic, but could affect her chances at winning the Gold Star Planned Community of the Year award. If the judges get wind of these bottom feeders she'll lose for sure.

Faos, I'm offically adding you to my list of people who "get it". Phil is God. Funniest man on the face of the earth. I listen on his website since he's no longer on the air in Houston.

I posted a Phil Hendrie thread a few months back and there were only a few replies. :( I'm always happy to find other people who "get" his show.

I have been happily married for many years. I was single until 35yrs old.

I was very lucky and had a couple of women friends I did favors for who would introduce me to single girls. One woman friend worked in a large office with lots of women. Some would be single - some newly single and kind of desperate, and some just like me who wanted to have fun- no expectations right away.

The other woman friend liked to drink Crown Royal whiskey. I would buy her a bottle now and then and she would introduce me to her friends.

I met lots of nice girls who were somewhat "screened" by my friends. I do not know how a dating service would be....

This was also a good lesson for me in learning how to be a friend to a woman and interact with a woman I was not dating.

Um...you wouldn't happen to still have her phone number, would you? :D

Whats hard is those long distance internet relationships. I met my ex through the company. We talked months before we met, and i eventually relocated to her. After a few months, it didn't work out for various reasons.

The biggest trouble I had was after a few months, you build a "g/f b/f relationship" but you haven't gotten through that going out and dating stage.

As far as net girls, I tend to agree, its no worse off than a blind date. Most of my net dates have been more of common community (church related chats) where many people know eachother. You get to know them much better online as you don't have that face to face barrier, but of course that will all change once you meet.
