We need size, but if we ever got Bynum, then we could say we have had Gympy, Gympier, Gympiest.

    No Thanks.

It would hurt to see Scola help the Lakers win a championship the same way we saw Artest do it. I would be happy for him but I would feel worse about my team knowing we help the enemy more than our own team. Laker fans would laugh in our face's again. BTW Haven't we had enough broken down players?

if we get bynum then hes gonna be the next yao. having ankle or knee injuries, missing half the season or done for the season. scola hasn't even been hurt before or miss a game.

Once was a center, thought he was a gas
Soon found out, he had knees of glass
Felt like the real thing, only to fi-i-ind
Only fool's gold, now he's ridin the pine.

    Hell to the NO!

I was reading the pros & cons of trading Scola for Bynum & then came across aicedo's idea of going after Perkins in the off season instead. My 1st thought was why not do both? Our 4/5 spots would be then be Perkins, Bynum, Patterson & Hayes. Our interior defense would be 100% better. With Shane/T-Will & Lowery, we wouldn't have to score 110 points to win a game.

We might as well sign Greg Oden too, then we'll have the top 3 most injury prone centers in the league. Yay!
And then the basketball god smiled upon us next season, all 3 came back and played entire season without injuries.
    Starting lineup:
    SF: Bynum
    PF: Oden
    C: Yao
    Average height: 7'3"

Injury prone but still a young player with great upside.

Not opposed to getting rid of Scolas contract either if we are going into rebuilding mode.

Do you guys realize that Bynum asked for a max contract? He's supposed to be that good.

Scola is my favorite Rocket and Bynum's legs will probably fall off half way to Houston, BUT, yes, I would do it. It is a BIG risk, but not as great as waiting for Yao to come back every year.

No, Scola has more productive years ahead of him and he has no questions on being up to play everyday.

Plus, It's a much better contract facing the new CBA and having room to sign a max deal.

I don't get it, why most here on the bbs would want to trade Scola. The team should be rebuilt around Scola. Scola plays every game all out compare to Bynum who shows up once in awhile.
