If I were GM, I might do this trade just to see Mike James' face when he realizes he'll be backing up a rookie. But seriously, folks... no.
iverson'll give us a fast game like when we had in 04-05, he's the fastest player in the NBA with the ball, hands down. Korver would bring us the shooter we have been waiting for. He's not a great all around player, but he is the shooter that we need. Getting the 8th and 13th pick could get us two of the following players: reddick, brewer, carney, williams. Also, we could trade the 8th and 13th for a top 3 pick up bargnani or aldrige. The problem is at SF. If you look at some of the news on the page w/ the AI rumors, you'll see that some say Richard Jefferson is out there. Trading for Richard Jefferson would be a huge addition. That would fill our sf position. Instead of trading swift for mike james, we could trade swift for jefferson. Swift would be a huge addition to the Nets. Swift will grow to his full potential playing along with Kidd.
I would do it. If TMacs back is giving him this much trouble now, how do you think its going to be when he gets older? People undervalue AI and knock his game because they dont like him as a person. He is a great player.
your reply shows your backetball knowledge ... 1.) yes, you can split the MLE on two players, it works. do some research before talking something you don't really know like that 2.) it doesn't matter if the Raptors have Bosh and Villanueva; you already answered yourself: they're considering Aldridge that means they need a big body and they also cosidering Morrison so it makes 100% sense if they take Morrison #1 and then sign n' trade Mike James for something (Swift) instead of just let him go without any compensation. 3.) Wesley, if re-signed to play behind Brewer and James, could be the best 3rd-tier SG in the league and he'd only cost you Vet. Min. 4.) McInnis is better than any of our PG not named Rafer Allston, and you trade nothing but Trade Exception for him.
