i'd take dalembert's very good defense, very good shot blocking and excellent rebounding, over swifts "im lost" defense, good shot blocking and average rebounding, any day.

Nooooo way! You know what, Allen Iverson would be really great to add right now. If we didnt have to give up Yao or T-Mac. That just can't happen because reality is just not that good to us.

Watching the finals and Dwayne Wade has made me realize how great it is to have an ALL-NBA center and 2. The Mavs are really good, but I just cant see a team led by Dirk Nowitski winning a ring. It pisses my Mav fan girlfriend off, but its actually the only time we ever "fight". I think its good for the relationship tho. Next years playoffs when we knock the Mavs in 5... you might not hear from me ever again.

Oh, and I'm not worried about T-Macs back. I'm excited about the draft, and then whipping some Maverick ass.

I wouldn't even do this on NBA Live. Iverson is a great individual player but he's never had a real position and he's never been a team player. It amazes me to this day that he managed to lead that one team to the Finals, but I think that while it was a testament to how great an individual player he is/was, it was just as much a testament to how terribly weak the eastern conference was at the time.

I actually like this trade. T-Macs back can't be trusted. Iverson's disgruntled. I could see both teams taking the risk. Good trade idea. Keep 'em coming.

Selfish? Have you guys seen AI's assist numbers over the last few seasons?

You might wanna take a look. He ended the 2006 season 8th in the league with 7.4 per game. That's almost half an assist better than our starting point guard. He was even better last season at 7.9 per game.

All in all, AI is too old and will soon step down. I will stick with Tmac.

AI has won mvp, taken his team to the finals. I don't think Philly would give him up AND a first round pick for anyone. Regardless, he is more than likely going to retire there so its not even worth debating.

If you have Iverson on your team, just like Yao you MUST HAVE TO YOU MUST have 3 point shooters.

So if the Rockets did deal T-Mac for AI they better be loading up on a lot of shooters real quick.

Have you seen Stephon Marbury's? He's still selfish.

I love AI, but he is both what he is and what he isn't - and what he isn't is a team player.

I'd take TMac in a wheelchair before I trade him for AI.

In the land of "trades that will never happen" I came up with a risky one for fun just to see if anybody would actually do it if they were GM........

Houston trades: Juwan Howard/Stromile Swift/#8 pick

New York trades: Steve Francis/Channing Frye/#20 pick

I probably wouldn't even do this myself but the Francis lover in me would love to see him back on the Rockets. He's a tough competitor that could be a very useful third gun. He's kind of like a poor man's Dwayne Wade. His contract, shooting and decision making are definite concerns though.

Despite what Isiah says he probably knows if he's ever going to move Francis or Marbury he's going to have to provide some incentive for whoever is willing to take him. Frye looks like a decent player with a promising future but he shouldn't be considered untouchable, IMO.

Not that money seems to be much of an object to Dolan, Isiah and crew but this trade would save them roughly $24 million over the next four years plus Isiah has openly admitted he wants to move up in the draft.

For the draft, since the talent level outside of the consensus top six is so close there are bound to be decent players dropping down to the 20's. We could use this opportunity to snag another young PF or pick up a SG like Maurice Ager or another decent player.

Like I said, just for fun. Any thoughts or comments?

The only way to get AI is to trade Yao for AI + Philly's #13 pick.
