I'm in the "Minny will never trade Peko" camp. He's a young solid center on his way up & everyone that doesn't have one, needs one. They have future all stars at the 4 & 1. Adelman may want a scoring 2(Martin in particular), but Peko won't be included in the deal.

Which would mean Landry has more value than Martin?

Though Landry had an EXCELLENT role as Rocket's 4th quarter closer, Landry hasnt done much better OUTSIDE of Houston. 5-6 rebounds per 36 minutes for a "power forward" is terrible.

If true, it's hard to see a trade with the Twolves. It's hard to see anyone trading with them really.

Williams hasn't shown anything, and the rest of the lineup is either trash or un-tradeable.

I personally think trading Pekovic for Martin makes them a better team this year... a playoff team even. I agree with all the comments about Pekovic's game, mind you, and for the long-term would agree they should keep him, but think a trade for Martin, with Adelman as a coach, would make them better faster, even if it limits their upside.

Perhaps including Patterson in the deal would tempt them. But that gets you into the territory of why the Rockets do it.

the players' stock changes so much.

if we offered the wolves Martin over the offseason, we probably could have gotten
pekovic + beasley + utah/memphis pick for Kevin.

Then we might be able to send Scola + Beasley + Dragic for Pau

    Pekovic/?
    Pau/Patterson
    Bud/Parsons
    Lee/Twil
    Lowry/Flynn

that is a pretty interesting lineup as well

The only way we extract Pekovic from Minnie is if we're third wheel netting them Pau... cause with an 18.7M paycheck, Gasol would start at center... and Minnie would still have 2 more centers making around 9M between em (pek n darko)... so theyd haveta clear some capspace..

Personally, I think Minnie giving up a third of their capspace and a few young pieces with upside is stupid for a 31 yr old Pau- same as my opinion of us acquiring Pau... but if they wanna do it - lets capitalize!

I don`t know why people on this board overlook Martin`s contribution to this team. We wouldn`t have even been in half the games we won if it wasn`t for Martin`s contribution. It`s no coincidence that when Martin slumps (the most recent road trip) The team slumps (the most recent road trip) Do I really have to remind you guys that he`s the third best shooting guard in the NBA and also the NBA`s best kept secret?

The only player I can see Minny trading at the deadline is Anthony Randolph to be honest. I agree that I don't see a good motivation for them to trade Pekovic.

Randolph is the only solid player they have whose talents are getting wasted on the bench.

Big L won't let it go. He was the same way about yao. it gets to the point that I can't take it anymore reading those posts. I like Martin but if a trade happens so be it. but to act like he is worthless, that's like saying Morey is worthless because Martin was a gleam in Morey's eyes at one point.

Back to the topic at hand,
Good centers are a rare breed nowadays, so no way I would I trade Zangief, if i'mthe T-puppies GM. As a rockets fan, of course I would reunite the fuhrer with Martin. That offense is beautiful to watch and it's all the credit goes to the fuhrer. Some of Rubio's passes that the media and fans here like to stroke to, Chuck hayes was doing them from the high post. More impressive to me at least.
