I would trade Mcgrady and Battier for Billups, Prince, Sheed, Stuckey, Hermann, + future 1st round pick.

 

The only question I have is would Joe Dumars go for such a deal? I doubt it.

It would make the numbers closer and save us more money. It's only a matter of time before Hayes gets used in a deal anyways.

 

Although Wallace has talent, his personal discipline, shows that he is not a player to be relied upon, being one with his own adgenda apart from being a team player.

 

I wouldn't miss McGrady if we did this trade. Adelman has a system. We don't necessarily need Tmac to be a playmaker if he runs the system. I would be for a Tmac for sheed/rip trade. I think Rip would play RA's system as designed and we wouldn't have to rely on the 'play making' anymore. Rip has a pretty solid midrange game and I think he does pretty well without the ball. Sheed would space the floor for Yao. If we were to go to battle with the jazz running RA's offense with:

Yao
Sheed
Battier
Rip
Alston

I think we come out ahead with Sheed being the difference maker. With RA's success in Sacramento, you know he doesn't need some versitile playmaker for his system to be successful. Very interesting to see what happens this summer. I think Detroit does this trade as it opens up more time for their young bigs and gives them a replacement scorer with another great wing defender in prince to always guard the tougher defensive assignment just as battier does for tmac now. This lineup also makes alston the fourth option and for that I would be grateful.

What is so special about this trade proposal that it gets its own thread and not in the Summer Random Trade thread? Anyways, I would easily pass on this trade. Sheed is getting old and Tayshaun is nothing more than a role player. Neither of these guys can do what T-Mac does for us. We get worst with this trade.

 

Heck no, sheed is a hella overrated plus he's old. Prince on the other hand ain't worth what tmac has to offer.

 

Sheed is a mess and Tayshaun hardly shows up, but has real nice D. Wouldn't do it, would need to get a Shooting guard in return.
