Wached the 30 on 30 about the 85 bears. **** had me in fear. Those players aren't normal living people.

I'd allow my son to play football, but not until he hits high school. He can play non-contact football as early as he wants. Plus, I'd push him into playing multiple sports to make him a more well rounded athlete, and for him to find out what he would or wouldn't like to play.

My kid would play football, but I would spend all his years up to that point training him in either punting, placekicking or longsnapping. Good form tackling too.

One of the parents on my son's soccer team played for the Eagles and we were having this discussion yesterday. He said there is no way in hell he is letting his kid play football which is why is all gung ho about soccer these days. His boys are ridiculously good.

Piano lessons and endless math. My kid will become the next Einstein.

If he wants something physical, I'd make him lift. That way when asked "do you even lift, breh?" he be like yeuh.

Yeah, but Otis Wilson talking about his 9:00s, 10:00s and 11:30s pretty much explains why most guys play sports growing up.

I have seen kids as young as 12 having a concussion from football. Even a small grade concussion can cause symptoms in the future when head injuries occur repeatedly

Just not sure knowing what we know about head trauma that a parent can allow their kid to play football. My little brother (14) would throw perfect spirals at 4 years old and was told he could have a future in it. Once the concussion stuff started coming out he moved into soccer and has been there ever since.

I can see the defensiveness of folks who either grew up with the game or are tied to it in some way but it is what it is. My wife said she got an email from a tanning place saying that the government is trying to enforce a law that will limit the amount of times a person can tan per month. There are just some things that are bad for you and the people in charge should step in and protect you by not even allowing it as an option.

My nephew isn't allowed to head the ball in his soccer league or jump on a trampoline either with the primary reasoning being to avoid concussions. He is 9 years old.

I have a 13 yr old in football. A 6 girl in soccer. A 4 year old that has a strong arm for pitching or football. And a baby that's super big. I'm thinking of joining the YMCA so the little ones get basketball ready just in case Football doesn't pan out.

You're doing it wrong. Just put up a basket at your home and ask all your kids to jack up 3's from the street across. Then Mauri would sign them up.
