    Just wondering?

What could we reasonably expect to get in return?

If I could dump his salary and give him back to the Clippers and get Montrez Harrell and Pat Beverley back I would be happy with that. I have always thought we gave up way to much to get him. We sure could use Montrez Harrell right now.

I am a bit annoyed by him always sitting out. Maybe trade him for Wall or Beal? I dunno, hard to say.

Might as well trade away any chance of a championship.

Only if it looks like this team has no chance and if there's a really good offer at the deadline (Lakers?)

But then he can also be traded in the offseason.

We are in a tough position. No way we trade him and continue in contention for a title (if you can even consider we currently are). You give him at least 2 more years and try to build around him and Harden. Ideally if he declines in year three, you can try to trade him, but doubt any team will want a washed up superstar at that salary.

In summary, he's the only option to get us a title and we had to risk the next four years of Harden's prime, no way around that.

Just hope we can salvage this season, as the clock is ticking and our roster sucks. Love Morey, but he had a very underwhelming offseason and it could cost us a lot since the moment Cp3 declines, we throw away ant chances of a title for the next decade.

Rationally speaking...of course. I’d trade him tomorrow. This team isn’t going anywhere and if Paul’s only going to be available half the time, he’s not worth anywhere near 40 million a year.

Realistically speaking...of course not. We’ll never sign a star free agent again. We’d be blackballed by agents. And I’m not sure what assets you’d even get for a contract like his.

You trade him you run the risk of pissing off harden to the point that he might ask for a trade as well. On the other hand this team right now is struggling with or without CP. if we crash and burn this season you would consider it but we are not getting anywhere near the value we gave up for him.

So ineffect might as well keep him

you are not gonna get equal value in return for CP3

Morey is never able to acquire a 3rd star...not getting Jimmy Butler is so disappointing

now we are just wasting Harden’s prime

I would 'CONSIDER' trading any one
but the deal has to be the right deal

    CP3 for LEBron and Kuzma. . . . . yea. . . I think I do that
    CP3 for Curry and Donkey . .. . yea. .. . I think so
    CP3 for Flotsam and f*ckery . . .. nah . . I'm good

To who and for who? I can see only the Lakers take him IF that's what Lebron wants so...not saying we should trade him, but that even if you think that, i'm not sure there're a lot of (good) options out there.

Philly currently sitting 3rd seed in the east, meanwhile the "best team in the NBA" in under .500 and sitting at 13th seed lmao

    love the delusion though

What did we get in return? A player that has been hurt for a long time.

CP3 needs a backup to ease pressure. Then you will see a big spark from him. Knight is unfortunately injured, and can't be relied upon. MCW can't do anything either.
