Thanks to the surgery he will take the time neccessary to make a good / solid recover, having the best physical status of last 3-4 years. He will resign with Houston for a low amount of money feeling to have a doubt with the franchise. Finally, with him being an essential piece, Houston will win a ring and he will be an idol again. Book it. Careers are so long.
Think about what you are saying for a minute. You are saying it is RA and Morey who caused this, so the fact they asked him to play ?? That's funny, because if I remember correctly: - Tracy was the one who decided to play - Tracy was the one who wanted to play one game of a back-to-back - Tracy was the one deciding on game day whether he would play - Tracy was the one who decided to slack off during games like Toronto - Tracy was the one who didn't rehab during the summer - Tracy was the one who said the MRI didn't reveal anything and everything was good - Tracy wanted a few games off to do a little rehab and come back strong - Tracy was the one who decided not to play in games even when he was healthy like last game against Milwaukee - Tracy was the one lying to the media about his knee was - Tracy was the one making contradicting statements to the media - Tracy was the one who caused the lockerroom problems He gets what he deserves because he basically gave a big F U to his teammates, the fans, the coaches and the owner by causing this whole drama and topping it off with the recent statements to ESPN. Tracy has always looked out for himself, just ask any player he has played with or any team he has played for. Remember the interview earlier this season about the relationship between Yao and Francis vs. Yao and Tracy and how Tracy used to practice and not say a word to him ? You call that being a good teammate / player ? There are lot more examples but don't try to say it's Morey or whoever that caused Tracy to look out for himself. And the part about trading him is downright ridiculous. You're saying the team prevented him from rehabbing, working on his game and getting to a 100% ??? You're saying they wanted Tracy gone even before the season ?? You must be delusional. Also it's very common a team is shopping some1 and they end up keeping the player for the season or maybe even a few years. You can bet your ass that Olajuwon at some point was being shopped by the Rockets (91-92), that Maxwell was being shopped etc. It's very logical to shop Tracy since he has hold them back with all the drama and is very expensive to keep. So the ensuing actions by Tracy are not at all justified. Therefore booing him is something Tracy deserves and is not even the worst. There are a lot worse things that Tracy deserves by backstabbing the Rockets.
Dang Rocket Jones - that was beautiful! And it saved me a good 15 minutes! The HOUSTON ROCKETS is what deserves the support NOT the individual players. But when you get a guy like Dream AND he's a Rocket and is the man he is then you get lucky! He's GREAT and he's a Rocket! And then there's Steve and Tracy! You don't support them over the team - period! It's the TEAM concept...remember? Fit in or get out... Good post, RJ!
well, i won't boo him if i was at the TC. but i was liked players who put the team above the individual. esp. star players who can sacrifice themselves to benefit the teams cause. thats why i always liked yao and duncan.
Now that I would love to see, even pay-per-view !!! They should let Tracy play one more game just to humiliate him, show the footage of him trying to dunk the ball and the part where Artest is laughing on the big screen !!! Play it over and over again and the arena announcer should laugh when Artest is laughing to make it even more dramatic. Then in the game, at first they should pass him the ball and say he has to go to the basket and then Yao should be there to block his shot !!!! Then never pass it to him again and just dribble around him, push him, do anything to irritate him until he wants to leave the game himself. Just before that Artest should elbow him a few times, saying he wasn't doing it on purpose and to top it off: Clutch throws the pie and he's booed out of the Toyota Center. Now who wouldn't love to see that ? Thank you
People here - usually the ones claiming to be smart... ironically - have the memory and attention span of a fruit fly. TMac could have scored 80-20-20 in each of the 6 games in last year's playoffs, and people would still be hating on him. Then they all turn and congratulate each other on their hate. "Man, you really hate him. Awesome. Good job! Its awesome to hate. We're so great because of our pure hatred for someone on our sports team. Lets pat each other on the back, plug our ears, and say 'la la la'. Lets also pretend that everyone who is against us is a "McGrady defender", and claim that they are idiots." They forget that about 40% of their opinion on McGrady is made up by people on these boards. There is so much hearsay, assumptions, and rumors that people revel in it and begin to accept it as fact. I'm pissed about what has happened this season and I believe that McGrady has not handled it professionally or like a man. If the team can move him in order to better the team, great! I love Houston a lot more than I like TMac. That being said, I will not boo him and it will be bittersweet if he goes without winning anything.
I choose to remember this... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nfurCV1FDpM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nfurCV1FDpM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I'm sure there are enough people that feel like booing him to make their presence felt. What strikes me about this is that McGrady can potentially become the first NBA player I can think of that is regularly booed by THREE!!! former fanbases... He still gets booed when he touches the ball in Toronto and in Orlando. Is there any other player in the NBA that can brag about this level of animosity directed at them?
quick no..he's done alot for this team. Kicking a man when he is down is not right. so straight up NO!!!!
