And he took to them the final, Multiple ECF, and out of the first every year once he got there. That team was many times garbage. He averaged 38-8-8 for a series and they still lost.

You can like and dislike whomever you like, and I'll do likewise. This is sports, not real life. It's great he's a family man and does charity and he's good at his job. Maybe if I knew him, I'd like him. But, I don't; it's nothing personal; he's just a basketball personality, and I'm quite happy letting him play the villain. The question is would I be willing to wait for Lebron as a FA. My answer is no. I'm sorry you don't agree, but it doesn't really matter.

I want him no doubt, doesn't mean we can get him. If Jay-Z couldn't convince him to play for the Nets, no way he'll come to Houston.

But I thought we were getting Chris Paul first?

The key is to trade for someone now who will be off the books when that 2014 monster class comes up. Pierce? Granger? Both will make us better now and come off the books that summer.

    Lebron's likely destinations:

    Miami: 85%
    Cleveland: 10%
    Brooklyn: 2%
    NYK: 1.9%
    LAL: 1%
    LAC: 0.0999999999%
    Houston: 0.0000000001%

If you're telling me you wouldn't want Lebron in free agency if he was willing to sign here, then you clearly don't care much about this team winning.

One, obviously, there are things I consider more important than winning.

Two, the "if he was willing to sign here" is a huge hurdle to overcome. To even make that a possibility means foregoing other opportunities in the interim to have the cap space available to sign him if he was coming. If you multiply the benefit of his coming by the chance of his coming and subtract off the benefits of foregone opportunities times the chance of him not coming, I don't think you arrive at a positive number. So, looking from the right now and deciding whether to hold a spot in our salary cap for Lebron James, the person who cares about winning is well justified in saying 'no, the risk of trying is too great.' There's more than one way to win a championship.
