I may be wrong but I think whatever trade value he had has gone down after the playoffs. If he could be packaged with Battier who is the only player with
some trade value to get a 3rd scorer I would go ahead with it.

If Acie turns out as good as he looked at A& M, of course.

I think he may very well be better than Rafer in his first year. Sam Cassell was.

However, you never know with a rookie. Acie seems to have the mentality for the NBA.

Is he athletic enough to turn his mental toughness into a solid NBA player?

Head, Snyder, Sura, LucasIII, and two first rounders for ......Rashard Lewis and Seattle's second rounder.

Then trade Juwan for Mike James.

So you suggest Rockets makes their weakest link (PF) even weaker ?

I'd rather see McGrady, Battier, and Rashard running with Yao at the 2,3,4 spots with a crazy fast PG that can run the break than what we got now.

Head is small, weak, weak-minded (as the playoffs showed), a terrible ball-handler, has zero b-ball IQ, and is a below average defender (because of his lack of strength).

He also can't finish at the rim... and can't make an entry pass.

Why the hell is this even a question? This team should be improved enough next year to not have Head be their 6th-7th man.

In short yes, and we may have already missed our chance to sell high.

He's a nice sniper, but little else comes with the package.

IMO Head is the lone bright spot on the roster when it comes to the future of the franchise.
Given, he did not produce in the playoffs, but I still believe in him and think letting him go would be a mistake.

Head and Rafer for Nick Collison and Earl Watson.

Then, sign Francis with the MLE. :D

Are you kidding me? Besides shooting a 3 pointer (which he didn't do all that well in the playoffs), what upside do you see?

You think he'll suddenly become a better ball-handler? You think he'll somehow gain strength/size to not be overmatched physically by the Deron, Barron Davis, and Jason Richardson's of the world? You think he'll become big enough to make a confident entry pass?

Head has a clear career goal in mind... become like Derek Fisher. But, he lacks the strength of Fisher, he lack the ball-handling skills, and he lacks the defensive skills (which are derived from strength).

right on the money...Head is just a slightly better version of Novak. If Novak didnt run around like a chicken with it's head cut off all the time..he would actually do some good.

in reality all Head can do is make 3s..and apparently not many in the playoffs.

we have way too many 1 dimensional players on our team.

    Juwan - short jumpers
    Head - 3s
    Novak - 3s
Vspan - dribble penetration, but can't shoot
Rafer - decent ball handler, can't shoot, can't finish at the rim

Head often looks headless when he's at the point, otherwise he's a decent contributor off the bench. He's good value for the money, I don't see Rockets let him go easily.

There is no need to trashing Head,
Head is GOOD, he is one of the best 3pt shooters in the league, and he is clutch. He didn't show up for the playoff, but it's tough for a rookie to play his first playoff.

Head is tradable...but just remember, whoever you want to trade him for, we still need to get some excellent 3pt shooters back in return.....
we lost the series because of our poor 3pt shooting,

we would have won the series easily had we even shot 30% 3pt from the floor.

    He is very good value.

you can't expect paying someone a rock bottom 1 million a year, and expecting him to perform like Billups.
