Let me make it simple for you guys, available for trade Asik, DMo, Smith, Jones and possibly Lin. Parsons is locked for at least 5-6 years.

Last night was a pretty good reason why I'm not a huge LMA fan. Scored 20 points, took 20 shots to do it.

He would be good on this team, but I wouldn't want to lose Parsons for him.

We are 4-1. And we haven't even gelled yet or reached our full ceiling... Let the current roster play out until the trade deadline to determine who we needs to bring in for the playoff run. I think Parsons is struggling because of our starter unit (Twin Tower) spacing problem. He needs spacing. In that case, I would want McHale to bring in Parsons as second unit with Jeremy.

Others have explained it better but Parsons won't be moved unless for an elite player. Morey would trade his own mother if the right deal came along but trading Parsons, especially right now-ish, would be a slap in Howard's face ("thanks for signing here; and oh, your buddy, Justin Timberlake as you call him, who convinced you to come here? wave good-bye").

I did post in another thread that "if Parsons doesn't get it together soon" I'd trade him for an Al Horford type but seriously, Morey will exhaust every other option in trade before Parsons would be included.

We probably wouldn't have this thread if Parsons had come storming out of the gate, but the season is only 5 games old. Let's be patient with him. He did save out bacon against Utah in the first half.

Exactly. It's just an angle their agent is using to negotiate Parsons's contract.

No one on the team not named Harden or Howard should be untouchable.

I think you should be more patient. Other than not shooting well from three point range I think he's played fine. He's only taken 18 three point shots for the season, so I think he's just been in a little slump and will probably turn it around pretty soon.

I don't think you should consider trading someone because of poor shooting over a five game stretch.

Never understood why people think Parsons would be untouchable. He's pretty good, and obviously he's just about the best deal in basketball. But, cap hits aren't everything, and soon he'll be paid at a market rate anyway and he'll lose a lot of luster once that happens. His contract will fall into that dangerous territory where the max salary doesn't give you any discount because he's not worth quite that much, and the MLE doesn't give you a discount because he'll get more than that from the market. He'll get paid his full value, no discounts.

In the meantime, he's a good value and maybe that's marginally helpful for one more offseason of cap management. But, it's probably even more helpful to some other team right now who would be willing to pay a premium in talent in order to capture that cap management benefit for themselves. Assuming that counterparty can be found, there's a lot of potential to get more by trading him. Maybe you don't do it, but definitely don't consider him untouchable.

Trust, Chandler needs to improve his jump shot, however, his Tmac fake with the ball is awesome. He also needs to get back to playing good D. That is why the lineup of Harden, Lin, and Chanlder doesnt work with the twin towers if those 3 are playing horrible D. Get Chandler back to playing D along with PBev and the teams can forget it.

Parsons is the glue guy. As long as he is on the roster I have no worries about chemistry. Or recruiting. So hell no.

I'm pretty sure voters thought the question was, "Would you be willing to give IT up to Parsons?"

I would argue that morey would do a harden for paul george get same offense and 100% better perimeter defense (he is lock down out there) and still young

    harden for durant

howard, dmo, jones for Lebron would work also

Your crazy if you think James harden wasn't the reason Howard chose Houston. Now I'm sure he and chandler are friends and talked a lot and Howard does like the collection of the players on the team but its all harden. Last time I checked its a super friend/star league and James harden is the only superstar we had on the team last yr.

Parsons is a good player and very vital to what we do but please don't kid yourself into thinking Dwight came to team up with chandler. Look at the interviews he's says harden doesn't come around every 10 yrs, and as long as me and harden are on the same page leading we're going to be good. Lol I didn't hear parsons name in their.

Absolutely correct. Howard signed because of young talent, a chance to play for a HOF player who is known as a players coach and Parsons. But do not discount "bro'ness'.

What are you smoking Paul George is a good player. But same offense as harden???? Don't kid yourself lol, hardens on another level on offense that only Lebron and KD reside in. Don't let a 7 game series make you think PG is a superstar. He's a rising young allstar that's it. His potential is sky high, but you can make the same case for harden who's already a top 5 player and still not near his prime.

You put harden on that pacers team and they might upset Miami last yr. you put PG on Houston and we don't even sniff the playoffs and PG is not an allstar last yr either.
