this is really depressing without having a pick. every team is getting media coverage and making trades except us. ugh, disgusting!
Don't know, depends on who we passed up. What we know is this: If we stay put, and the strong teams get stronger, it is the same as we falling behind. As of now, Orlando is scary, LA still tough, and Cleveland now has an inside monster (albeit older) to go with LJ, and next door, Spurs just added another all-star for a total of 4 all-stars.
on a day where our peers are all getting better we got worse speaking of course about Yao's bum foot...which is no surprise at all
we're in deep doo-doo friends. now that yao is out indefinitely, we officially have NO center at all. morey better starting pulling rabbits out of his bag of tricks.
What's with the pity party guys. Who in this draft was going to help us? This is a pathetic draft. Of all drafts not to have a pick, this one doesn't bother me one bit. Morey will work his magic during free agency... dont FEAR!
Trades are risky. I still trust Morey. We still have a VERY good team that can compete. I can easily see how Cleveland or Magic don't improve dispite that they look better on paper. The Spurs pickup of RJefferson might be the biggest sleeper pickup of.
It is becoming imminent that the Rockets will do nothing tonight. The best case scenario is a 2nd rounder but I really had high hopes of a trade or a lottery pick.
Thank god, did you not remember the passion and chemistry this team had in the playoffs? Do not break this team apart, add depth by trading tmac. Depth at center, and sg position
remember folks.....the big trade that brought artest in last year was after the draft. long offseason ahead of us, morey will make something happen.
Looks like that is whats going to happen. Smart move but the thought of having an all star overshadowed that perception of keeping the team intact and add small pieces to fill in the needed positions.
that's exactly what i see happening...something after the draft...because i think we should wait this out...
Rockets don't need to make a deal just because it's draft time. I'm good with Morey holding back for now.
Biggest kick in the balls is we lose Yao for the 1st 2 months and Artest doesn't want to resign and we lose Wafer. Add that in and it will truly suck. I am bummed out. I wanted an upgrade.
Perhaps, but I have a feeling that the general consensus among the fans will not be very upbeat once the season begins - not a good feeling for fans or the front office people at the Rocks either. Let's face it - there's very little Morey can do now that will placate us now that all of the talked-about players have already found new addresses. And to think we were actually willing to give up real talent for some of these big names! Another frustrated poster...
True regarding trades but adding talent via the draft would have been great. The least the Team could do is add a player in the draft for future use.
