Would Yao have done this? If...?

It is about time that Yao Ming had sufficient confidence to take the mantle and become the leader. For sure Tracy hasn't the personality to be this person. Yao has been groomed to be this person so it is about time that he was!!:p

RA basically played Yao the whole 2nd half. Yao clearly was nearly exhausted at the end. This is bad coaching IMHO.

exactly, we didn't win 5 straight games by running EVERY damn play through him in the 2nd half.

For the record, I think T-Mac is a better player than Yao. That said, because (I like what one poster said about T-Mac needing a player of savy veterans around him) it doesn't seem that T-Mac can lead on his own, can or would Yao have pounded his chest and lead the freakin team if T-Mac were standing there?

I rate this threat at 5 star.

To answer your question, probably not. Tmac is our most talented player (not sure if I consider him the best since leadership and competitiveness are also factors that go into accessing a player IMO), and Yao knows this. I say if Tmac is here, Yao goes into deferring mode and watches Tmac chuck jumper after jumper. Hopefully Tmac proves me wrong and actually drives to the basket, and make the darn lay-up (YOUR A SUPERSTAR GUARD, NOT LUTHER HEAD).
