    and to second my thoughts...

    Envious already in LA. HA

Money bought Shaq. Ming wants to be the best, he's not about the money, he doesn't want to be near the stars (like Shaq) and doens't have a psuedo rap career to try and further.

Now Go Troll the Utah BBS or the Lakers BBS or tell the chicago fans how nice it's gonna be when J Williams is playing along side a washed up Kobe in 4 years.

    mr basketball,

Two things that you need to know about this place (if you really want to do something other than troll):

    1) Don't ever mention the team, the "Utah Jazz" with any current Rocket player especially one that will mean as much as Yao Ming.

    2) Don't ever tell us that you are a Lakers fan.

However, I have my doubts that you want to do anything but troll, so I am sure I will see a thread from you sometime in the near future that asks how Yao could be a "better fit" with the Knicks...

Just thinking of Yao playing in Utah gets me giddy. I'd actually have a local team to cheer.

Yao will never be a free agent with the Rockets. They will extend his contract after three years, as they did with Steve this year.

The Rockets will be able to pay Yao more than any other team. He will not turn down a 6 year 100 million extension. Stop dreaming, and go here.

For just one game , you made a horrible judgement of young Yao Ming's ability. As he progress down the road watched how he will school shaq and the fakers, Oh and together with the jazzhole!

You have summed up Sloan's coaching style in one line more effectively than any other description I've seen. Sloan is an awesome coach, one of the top 5 in the league IMO, but he certainly isn't a "player's coach." He's one of the last hard-liners in the NBA. That's one of the things I've always liked about Sloan... he doesn't take s**t from anyone. Rookies on Sloan's team rarely look like rookies for the reason you just gave... they know that Sloan will beat them into the ground if they do soemthing he doesn't like.

The problem is, some guys just don't do well with that type of coaching. I think a guy from another country, even if he had Yao's drive, might not do well with that kind of coach.

The place is crawling with them, anyone have a can of Raid?

Seriously, you are nuts. It will take time for Yao to fully adapt, and Malone and Stock are likely in their last season, and their age is showing. IMHO its unlikely that the Jazz will even make the playoffs this year. I'm sure Yao is happy to be on a team that is on the upswing now on a bigtime downturn.

Yao is a ROCKET. He just arrived to the United States, Houston. He's only played in one preseason game, for 13 minutes? Give the guy a break, he's very skilled, and I can not wait to see him progress. Houston is fortunate.
