I'm sorry actions speak louder than words. Tmac QUIT on the team last year, plain and simple. I don't want any quitters on this team, especially one being paid 20+ million. Obviously if he's motivated he can put up those numbers, he was not motivated here any more.
Yep. He wanted desperately to play, busted his ass in rehab, and said all the right things. Then was trotted out for joke minutes, frozen out during those minutes, and never given even the smallest chance to succeed. And we didn't trade T-mac for K-mart, we traded Landry for K-mart. For T-mac, we essentially got Knicks scrubs (the picks were in exchange for taking on JJ, we didn't get them for T-mac the player).
No, we would not have won with T-Mac. We would not have one with anyone new because our defense stinks. Until we get that problem fixed, we are not going to win to many games. We have the offense, but if we can't stop anyone, every game is going to be in doubt regardless of the other teams record.
The whole fiasco started with TMAC asking for more minutes and Adelman saying he couldn't find more minutes for him. That is TMAC wanted to stay and wanting to play so I am not sure where u are coming from. The worst part about it is that he can manage to create the mintues for KMART because he likes KMART, but not TMAC, and it may or may not come back and bite us in the butt. Even TMAC at 80% is better than anyone on our current roster, which is why it was soo puzzling to me that he didn't get a fair oppurtunity this year.
Tmac had 26 points on 10/17 shooting. He had 3 turnovers and 5 assists. Realistically he was near about as many points as possessions. That's not what we need. We need a higher efficiency player.

Tmac showed what he could do tonite but I have no problems with what the Rockets did. It was a divorce; doesn't mean that one side was better than the other. They had irreconcilable differences. Happens.
I'm not hating on Martin, but I said that the day T-Mac leaves he will be a star again. Maybe it was a fluke? IDK. However I still like this trade. Hopefully Martin can get it together!
SNAP. What Dexkk said is on the right track. It was time for us Rockets fans to move on for our sanity. Goodbye to the TMac era. As sports fans we should have a basic understanding of the notion that one game does not a season make. Why is it that Martin suddenly becomes a 3/15 shooter in everyone's minds because of one game? Conversely, is TMac suddenly a 10/17 shooter? Hardly.
Martin had a horrible shooting night...and still scored like 14 points. Nuff said, He drains 3 more shots and he has that 20points. Most of Martin's shots were open shots he missed. They were not horrible forced up shots, that is the one thing I loved about his debut. His shot was off, but his game was on.
T mac is great.... It's funny all of you bash him but I don't see one thread talking about his great game today.... its okay ESPN will hype him up
Go to the correct area of the board and you'll find it. We're not here to practice the art of hating our own acquisitions and comparing them to Tmac.
