Welcome....and you were definitely right about one thing. Hakeem will never play in Boston!

I really don't think a trade will materialize. With the current CBA and Hakeem's fat salary, it seems highly unlikely.

Stranger things have happened with the Rockets though. We'll see.....

I do agree that any trade is highly unlikely, but it is fun to "play god" so to speak.

    worse things could happen.

It would essentially be SAR w/ a little bit of size, a little bit less defense, and w/o Reeves cap killing contract.

I think it'd be cool. You loose fg% between he and Mo, but he makes up for it on the glass. Also, who's to say his fg% wouldn't increase w/ Francis and Mobley on the perimeter?

I would love to get SAR but there is next to nothing that would make me want to take Reeves along with him and that is the only way anyone is going to get him. You may sacrifice a few stats by taking Walker but remember who has played with his entire career(answer: Nobody). He has not seen talent around him like Steve and Cat. They seem to make players they play with better and I think the pressure would be off of him so he doesn't feel like he has to carry the team.

The more and more I think about it i like this trade idea. I think Boston would go for it but we need a 3rd team. Miami would be a good fit because they could probably offer something that Boston would like. We could also trade straight up with MIami b/c they haev several players that will be FA's at the end of the season and we would still keep the cap room.

First off I am new here. I just found this site thanks to NBATalk.com. I was thinking, what if the Rockets sent dream to Boston for Antione Walker and some throw away players(they have several that are free agents at the end of the year) walker makes $10-11 mil. That would give us a quality player and still 5-6 mil. in cap room at the end of the year. Hakeem probably wouldn't go to Boston but they could always try to work in a 3rd team maybe Miami trading some combination of Mason, Majerle, Causwell etc. to get Dream. Just a thought...
