    Well...

One good thing about Yao being traded is that it will make this BBS more coherent again!

Way too many stupid posts about Yao is good, Yao is bad. I love Yao. How dare you insult his toe nails. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.

Oh...and those SINA articles are just awesome and accurate!

All that being said, on THE BASKETBALL COURT, we are an instant lottery team without him. Big men don't grow on trees especially with skills like his. Trade T-Mac and his broken down ass for a decent PF and I will take my chances.

    Good!

No player is more important than the team or the organization....unless its Hakeem!

Like I said, Yao go, better BBS by 50%. Team worse by 75%.

I think we can all agree that Houston fan base will stay mainly the same because China Population is not Rocket´s fan base but Yao´s.

If i had to i prefer to trade T-Mac because i can get a player and some expirings, but if Yao is the one to be traded is obvious that we could get more Basketball wise talent for him as we could ask for the likes of Dwight Howard because of what Yao gives financially, seeing it this way Yao can get us better players than himself because of the simple fact of being a cash cow, McGrady on the other hand will force us to agree for less talent in return.

Ask Clutch how many people joined this bbs after Yao was drafted.

It will be a huge loss to Clutch too. :)

Yao fanbase might decrease on this site, but true Rocket fan base wouldn't in my opinion.

I am so angry about what you said. You hate them only beacause bad English? You know many of them are living China and English is not thire daily language.

I am Chinese, linving in USA bit not in Houston. I am YOF, but I will so sad if Rockets lose a game, and always check the standings on the NBA web site - I care the team! I guess you come from a contry that use English daily. Chines has more than 5000 years civilization, Chinese isone of the beatiful language in the world.

That about sums it up but, I'd like to put my two cents in.

I am a long time Rockets fan and the Rockets organization will always have a strong fan base. This board is a testament to that. Before chron.com came around this website was the place to be. I still love it but point being this website was around before Yao and will be here after Yao.

I will always be a Rockets fan. I will always be a Yao fan. If Yao is traded to another team I will support Yao on that team. If Yao played against Houston I would wish for him to have a monster game, in a loss.

If the right trade came along then of course you should make it. Winning makes much more money than a bunch of Chinese fans. Especially long term winning.

Didn't the Rockets announce yet another China sponsorship deal like a month ago? I thought it was on the team website. As for shoe contracts, I believe Hayes, Francis, Scola, and Battier all have Chinese shoe deals. But advertising and partnerships are really the big deal. It's too late at night for me to go looking up articles, but just take a look at all the Chinese advertising during Rockets games. That doesn't happen at other arenas.

On the corporate partnership page I'm seeing Chinese companies Peak, Anta, Founder, WM [?]

relax on the bashing. Read and use analytical skills. I was referring to Les not paying for better players.

    Breathe.

    Yes.

But what difference does that make?

90% of the Rockets fans are fair-weather fans anyway.
