there's nothing to be had for him from NY. they have no young talent. the astros would get far more value from allowing him to finish pitching here this season...particularly at the gate for his starts.
I thought you still had to be able to have the fundamental mechanics of swinging and hitting a ball regardless of the juice. The juice makes you stronger but it won't turn a bad hitter into a good hitter. I would say he's just in a major slump regardless of the juice...unless he is flying out a lot and would have otherwise been homeruns on the juice. I've heard some players say the juice may make you hit for power but it won't make a bad hitter a good hitter.
Maybe Giambi is the hitter's version on Rick Ankiel. He just forgot how to do it. Either way, no chance in hell I want him as an Astro. Especially not in a trade for Rocket.
well...yes and no....it can increase bat speed which can make u a better hitter instantly....also makes u faster enabling u to beat out more infield hits...or turn doubles into singles.....makes u swing harder so routine grounders might be hit hard enuf to find the hole.....i think u can definitely make a case that it CAN make u a better hitter to some extent
Does it really make one faster? Not arguing--it's a question. The reason I ask is that I've heard that users gain in strength but lose flexibility, and it seems that flexibility would be key to speed. When I hear about juice, I've always hear "bigger guns, bigger head, little penis, more strength, but I've never geard "more speed" (perhaps due to ignorance on my part).
There are only three Yankees that I would even want for the Rocket and I doubt the Yankees would deal any of them: ARod, Jeter and Matsui. The rest of the Yankee roster is up there in age.
Awesome! Let's trade the Cy young winner for a player about to be sent down to the minors. We already have enough minor leaguers on our team as it is.
