Forget Duncan, lets go after Webber when we do have some serious dough to spend. ------------------ Check out the best source for draft info. Draftsource.net
Mango, What?? Do you think aelliot, davo or i can bring this thread back to reality using logic?! Release the Hounds!!
Well lets all of us pray that San Antonio gets their ass completely whooped in the first round of the playoffs. This will probably show Duncan that he has no future in San Antonio. As for Bulls or Orlando I dont think Hill or Duncan are going their. Why would they want to leave theri own sorry team to go to another team with "just potential". Yeah Orland has their cap room, but what other players do they have to attract Duncan. Mercer and Armstrong are just roll players. He would once again be doing everything. Yeah Orlando might also get a bad ass pick, but that player is not guaranteed to be good. Bulls....yeah rite. No one in their right mind is going there. Rockets have the perfect nucleus. Best young point guard, and a bad ass defensive stopper, and also another future all star in Mobley. Duncan, Kenny, Walt, Shandon, Steve and Mobley. I dont think it can get any better. ------------------
I say next time we go to the polls over the arena issue, they just add a yes/no box that simply says, "Should the Rockets pursue Tim Duncan this offseason?" If the people say yes, then let's get him! I'm pretty sure it's that simple. Here's to the voice of the people of Houston! ------------------ "There are three kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and STATISTICS..." - Mark Twain -
come on guys, lets be serious here. the chances of duncan coming to the houston rockets is virtually zero. if he was going to come, he would have to be signed and traded to the rockets, and everything you guys mentioned is not enough in the spurs eyes for tim duncan. only way it possibly happens is if duncan says screw the max, i want to go the the rockets so you guys better trade me there or i'll take the 2 mil exception to play there. is that going to happen? uhhh, no. who in their right mind would take a 7 mil a year paycut to play for a team whose damn voters won't even give them a new arena even if they need one? more likely he'll stay in san an with their new arena or sign with orlando who's "potential" will become a reality with him there, and whatever other free agent they pick up with the 18 mil they have under the cap. ------------------
