I think he would have stayed, but not necessarily long term. He may not have opted out at all.

    I vote yes to this.

I think Lebron would have left independent of the result of the Finals. I actually think it would have been even easier for him with three rings; then he could even more strongly feel that he'd accomplished what he wanted in Miami.

For them to win, Wade would have to play well. Wade playing well changes a lot.

I think regardless of all the fluff, the main reason Lebron is leaving is Wade no longer is a star level player on a consistent basis. It makes going back to Cleveland an easier decision.

If Wade was putting up 20-22/5/5 consistently, win or lose, he stays in Miami.

You think the spurs would have resigned all their players if they lost this year?

No. Like someone mentioned earlier..winning hides flaws.

It also depends on how you lose. They brought their team back after losing in 2013.

    The Heat were just destroyed.

Of course he woulda been back to chase that 4peat and then opted out next year if they lost and then gone to cleveland.

Better question is would he have gone (if lost) and Cleveland didn't have Kyrie and A wigg?

I have been an unapologetic Lebron hater since he went to Miami, but he handled this 100000 times better than I could have anticipated. I guess I can go back to appreciating a great player now...it is a pretty cool story to return.

Yes. This was not a basketball decision.
