He's been terrible since he's come back from injury. And consider this -- GS traded away Baron so Monta could be The Man on his team. But he's already given up on that after playing less than 20 games. Even worse, his contract is not cheap at all.

Stay away. He has "franchise killer" written all over him.

Don't feel like looking it up but isn't Baron Davis contract bigger than Monta's?

    Or am I wrong?

But Yes I want Monta on this team, bring him home!

I'm sure he'll get it together next year but as far as this year goes, aside from a career-ending injury this was pretty much a worst case scenario year for Monta Ellis. Simply stated: every claim I made in that post you referenced is supported.

Oh, I so disagree. But, that's OK as judging someone involved in a Nellie-imbroglio is like trying to understand the toughest hoopster on the planet - for about four decades - condoning, nay abetting, flopping on his team. Jerry, Jerry, Jerry...

    For Tmac?

Maybe...his three isn't as consistent but he's a great penetrator the thing I worry about is he'd play SG and we would have to worry about defense. Since we know Nellie isn't teaching anything that resembles defense.

i'm not sold on monta. we know he can run up and down the court, but what about in the halfcourt? all i've seen from him are fast breaks and shots in transition.

not for me. I want a defensive sound player. At least there is something to fall back on when your shots is not going in.
