not like we have a choice.. we entered the 4th quarter down damn near 20 againist one of the worst raptors teams i have ever seen
We will need both our pick and Brooklyn's picks just to be able to remove the shitty Jalen Green off our roster.
Rockets suck….nothing else to say and the future isn’t bright at all. Since Tilman has taken over this team has just simply sucked. Next year it will be the same pathetic story.
We are half-tanking from the beginning. There is no explanation of the road game performance. It is day and light.
i am totally ok with tanking at this point. Start Cam and amen and lets move green to the bench. Since fred and tari are injured we got no chance anyways, so we might as well develop our players. This is a weak draft anyways, so its not a big deal to hand OKC the #5 pick. Who knows, we may land in the top 4! We still get the brooklyn pick so we can risk handing over OKC #5.
Maybe they get the 5th and Rockets get the 6th or 7th and OKC picks the player Rockets semi targeted. Taking away targets was what OKC had in mind doing this kind of business. They still end up with 28-29 Wins even if they try tanking now. We should lean back and nap a little.
yea well, there's always the small chance we win the lottery. Portland somehow got #2 last year. We have nothing to lose. its a weak draft, go for starr. Our kids know they all won't be here anyways at this point, so its the best thing to do. We have to develop amen and just let him figure it out.
We are in similar dilemmas with the OKC that we have zero rotation minutes for incoming draftees..... The exception is OKC is at the top of the standings and the Rockets are somewhere at 11th,12th....
I guess the upside of not improving the team at the deadline is that I can now start looking for the Rockets’ logo on the draft odds list on tankathon again this season. Between the rockets and the Nets, our chances for a top 4 pick are looking better all the time. We now have a combined 40% chance at a top 4 pick, and those odds are likely to improve. conversely Jalen’s odds of being a player other teams want to trade for are plummeting.
that's totally ok. We can just let ppl ride the pine, like rookies normally do and let them develop until a trade. Its clear that Sengun and green aren't good enough to build around any time soon, so we have to roll the dice with Amen and cam who both will probably be better.
I don't think the Rockets are sold on Sengun and/or Green. Spectulations of both being traded proved that. There are three players I like in this draft; Alexandre Sarr, Matas Buzelis and Zacchaire Risacher.
Stop being so short sighted .... At what cost? And is that cost worth the expenditure when it's unlikely that the player will be around beyond seasons end? Utah got the only #1 pick moved on deadline day for Olynyk. Did you expect Stone to better that offer? There's a couple guys on the buy out pile that can provide what's necessary .... lets see if Stone goes that route.
