At age 23 - probably not. Ginobili was a late bloomer. I mean, even in Europe he was a relative unknown until ~23.

But in his prime at ~28-30 years old, I think Ginobili was better than current Harden. Similar offense, better defense. That's not to say Harden won't have a better career or that his peak won't be higher.

Wrong. He was already balling out before that. Already won the Italian League Championship at age 22 (at least similar, if not higher level of competition than the NCAA). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HV0b2Mi12M

Ridiculous Harden fanboys and homers re-visioning basketball history. If you don't watch basketball, if you don't know enough about basketball, don't try and make things up for the sake of arguing a false cause.

holy ****. someone just said Manu can't escape double teams or create seperation.

    WOW.

Next thing I'm gonna see is Blake Griffin can't dunk the ball because he's not a Rocket.

he was 23 actually when he joined Kinder and became a major Euro star. nearly 24 when he won first title with them. I'm from Europe actually, i remember Ginobili's rise quite well. Kinder was the hated enemy (for me) at the time.

re your second paragraph... grow up.

I'd rather have young Manu than Harden. I know Harden is a rocket and all but reality is that young Manu>>>> Harden

    Yeah, Manu was/is a stud

Had no holes in his game. Played amazing offense AND defense.

Seemed like a great team player that could get his whenever he wanted but would play through the offense and play winning basketball

Could have probably scored more but as you know, great players make their team mates better and he really elevated everyone else's games on offense AND defense. You could just put him on the opposing teams best guard and he would shut them down. Despite being a star, he took charges and did all the little things for the sake of the team.

Hope Morey can find someone like this for us from Europe

I'd like to see Manu have to play with Lin instead of Tony Parker, and facing double/triple teams because other teams dont respect your backcourt mate, before i made my decision. But as of now Harden in a landslide

You don't remember how bad Tony Parker was. Bad shooter, bad passer, bad defender. Just a mad driver. He was benched late in games in favor of 40 year old Kerr and Speedy Claxton his first 4 years in the league.

And Manu did face double teams. Parker was the finals MVP in 2007 because Lebron tried to shoot Manu down (and became more of a facilitator instead of scorer) and Duncan struggled. God, does no one watch basketball here?

I ask myself that same question every time I read any thread that involves a non-Rockets player.

Every thread this Hikanoo guy makes has to do with Harden. This is another thread that the OP made to find a way to bash on Harden but he tried to disguised it...

Manu is great but he doesn't have the physique of a starting star to survive the associated heavy pounding. Pop uses him perfect to his strength as is.

Very similar players, but ever since Harden arrived here Parsons has been the "Glue Defender."

In OKC it was Ibaka and Harden that played hard D. Here Harden gambles a lot & does reward himself at times, but he's not the greatest defensive player on the Rockets.

He tries harder on D than T-mac did that's for sure.
