I would rather have Dwight Howard. And given the questions marks at the 2nd most important position on the court(pg), Im liking the fact that they got as good of a prospect as they got at PG rather than someone who at best is the backup to Parsons/Harden. Once fans finally get a chance to see Canaan play I think they are going to quickly forget about some of the guys taken ahead of him. The dude can play. Maybe its just Morey's reputation that proceeds him, but alot of analysts like Chad Ford claim he's probably going to be the steal of the draft, and they could even see him being an upgrade to Jeremy Lin in a year or two.
Honestly even if Thomas is all star material, you trade him if it means signing a current MVP candidate at center. a legit all star center is worth more than an all star power forward.
