Would Clutchfans.net be better as a pay-only forum?

I think the quality of posts would probably be better if it were pay-only. Most trolls wouldn't think that it was worth it it to pay when they can troll anywhere else for free. On top of that, ClutchFans could offer all sorts of wonderful services.

However, being a poor college student, I cannot afford to contribute (I haven't even paid my electric bill this month yet). Paid-only posters would limit the number of viewpoints in discussion, and that's always a bad thing. And how many of the players and team representatives who visit this forum would pay for access?

So, yeah, I'm undecided.

 

There would be nothing stopping Clutch from offering free membership to players and team reps if they want to post (either openly like Tim, or anonymously like TMac ).

 

I just want to add that "getting rid of blathersby" is no longer a reason to say yes to this question. =)
