I just thought this was an interesting question. We all know he's the no-stats all-star, but would he start on any other team in the NBA? If you think so, please justify your answer.

Yes, depending on the match-up for certain teams though.

I think he could start in S.A. strictly for defensive purposes. I think they miss the perimeter defender since Bowen retired. That seems to be one of their biggest weaknesses. They have enough scoring around to allow Battier to focus solely on defense and the occasional corner three ball. This could also allow Manu or Jefferson to bring some serious scoring punch off o the bench.

    Pop loves defensive players.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up there once his contract expires.

A team like the Hawks would fit him well. He would probably start on that team.

    Battier for Josh Smith =/

    Good question.

Maybe Milwaukee or Toronto. I could see Avery Johnson starting him over Travis Outlaw.

He'd Start in Chicago too, instead of Keith Bogans.

I can see him starting for the NBA champions, that would say a lot.

Yes. Ron Artest starts for the defending champs and he's played much worse than Battier this season.

lol, Battier is not even a 6th man in todays NBA due to his lack of offensive skills at this point of his career.

Yeah, I'm sure he's mr intangibles- but that doesn't win games.
Yup, I'm sure he's a nice guy- but we have a team full of them.
Yeah, he's a defensive specialist- which can be proven by all his defensive player accolades. accolades=0

Orlando could use his leadership and defense...they have a pretty potent starting 5. One of those guys starting now could be a good spark off the bench.

He could start in New Orleans over Ariza.

I believe in the playoffs, shane is a completely different player, and he brings it and step his games up.

Maybe a couple. He's definitely in the bottom 5 starters at his position though.

Which teams would Brooks or Lowry start on? There aren't many teams who could use their services in a starting 5 to upgrade by potential or to contribute to a contending team.

    What about Chuck Hayes?
