hey man dont worry about your english. i didnt know you were foreign either, if you had put it in your post im sure these guys wouldnt have been jerks to you. i think i get your point but rafer will only be better because he will do less not because he will more. less minutes with the ball will equal less shots taken and less floaters. so no he will not be all star caliber but he will gain some fans. i respect Rafer a lot! That dude went through some serious stuff in the offseason last year, he kept his head up and beat everyone who he competed for a roster spot with. that little guys got some heart. i guess thats why Ron respects him too
This thread is r****ded and we dont need AI. The dude sucks and doesnt play organized basketball. Hes just another player like Steve. He may have heart but and game but this isnt and1 and one player cant do it all. Rafer is a more than adequate point guard. He can handle the ball well and doesnt turn it over. He brings energy and leadership. There arent enough balls to go around for all the players on the Rockets so those of you praying for AI get REAL! I as a fan want to the Rockets to win a championship and not end up like the Denver Butt Nuggets.
skip is a solid pg in the league and at 30 he doesn't have much of a up-side anymore. The thing is somebody has to out play out of his position
Wow YOU realize you (us_marine) are apologizing for Americans rights to act on their right of free speach? :tounge:
We don't need him to be an allstar now. What he does need to do is his job to perfection every night. Hit those open shots, pass the ball where and when it is needed, and play some good defence. If he can do that I am sure Artest Yao and Mcgrady can take care of the rest.
Welcome to the board, international posters. I have learned many different skills in my life, but none of them were as hard as even an easy language like Spanish. I don't mean, speaking well enough to get by, but to speak the language well. I'm sure that English is hard as hell for a Chinese. As for Rafer, I don't mind having him as the starting PG, but I would like his backup to be nearly as good as he is. I.e., he's OK, as long as the drop-off to his backup isn't too bad. We'll see what Steve or ABrooks can do this year. I'm still fascinated by the idea of TMac playing point.
I like it. Keep up the posting. We as Rockets fans have a unique experience in the sports world, as China cares about the Rockets as much as Houston does. We also get the international pub that the other Texas basketball teams enjoy. Personally I welcome the input and chance to interact with them. No need for childish remarks about poor english. Would you make fun of someone with poor english in real life?
Who's gonna vote for him as a all star. Here in Houston you'd have more people vote for steve as a all star before they vote for rafer. And that's even with steve coming off the bench as rafers backup.
rafer will not be an allstar.. but i can see how he would make an allstar game fun to watch.. skip to my lou
LMAO..............that was funny........ Good job............. This thread though........Bad job.........man my brain hurts
Unless Rafer played like he did in the our final game against Lakers last season for all the 82 games next season, he might just make it. Unfortunately, Rafer is too inconsistent. He played very well in the 22 winning games but even in those 22 games, there were times his performance was deteriorating and in those games we nearly lost. We usually win when Rafer played well and hit a high %FG.
