    Leeb,

He is not a hard worker at rehab/condidtioning, and it is known around the NBA that his lack of attention to training could shorten his career.

It looks like that is what is happening here.

I mean the guy doesn't even warm up.....at the games.....

What a freaking liability this guy has been.
I wouldn't care if he ever wore a Rockets uni again.

the list of things that are in the best interest of the team and tracy's basketball career that he either doesn't do or chooses not to do is very, very long.

    Bravo!!!!! Well said.

I have said this exact rhetoric for the last week. She Mac pulled all of this stuff out of nowhere to kill any trade that we potentially had for him.

The guy is worse than all of the Kelvin Cato's and the Mo Taylors and the Eddie Griffins that hurt this franchise for years. None of them were getting paid like he was and none of them ever pulled a stunt like this to kill a trade that hurt our team like this one will. All Mcgrady is doing now is going to take his surgery, take a looooong rehab, and then get ready to say he is fully healthy for the 2010 free agency where he knows all of the teams are going to have a ton of cash.

Mcgrady = Hall of Shame of Houston Rockets.

All of you, I am not just going to single out spacemoth, get a life. Seriously. Wishing him the worst? Just because you can't watch your favorite team go to the finals your going to wish pain and a horrible recovery on our STAR player? Selfish, disrespectful, and uncalled for.

Just to let you know, Tracy McGrady isn't the only star of all time who has struggled in the post season.

So before you label him as close but no cigar, I want you to label the rest of the athletes that fit in McGrady's category:

Barry Sanders, guess what, according to our fanbase, you have 0 talent, you were a regular season superstar, but couldn't bring it when playoff time rolled around. YOU are the reason the Lions struggled in the 90s.

Craig Biggio, Jeff Bagwell, thanks for your pathetic effort on trying to carry our houston astros to the promise land. You fell short year after year never even making a braves series interesting until an ace and a few hof pitchers could help you out, Bagwell you were too busy faking an injury while Biggio was failing miserably (despite all the help he had) in the world series. Yall both, should have taken your services elsewhere- because here, in houston, they were never wanted.

Nolan Ryan- dont even want to start on you, 27 years? No Ring? Should have tried another sport.

Karl Malone, John Stockton, Charles Barkley- worthless no ring. I hope you all have painful injuries in your near future.

I know that all sounded ridiculous, but thats how you sound. Completely ridiculous. Taking a game, and making it bigger than a game. Trying to tell Tracy McGrady he is faking it, because you know everything about health-Maybe you should work for the Rockets, and handle all their injury problems. I bet 90% of you don't even know where an MCL is located and what function it serves in your knee.

I am not saying give McGrady a free pass, but what I am saying is he was trying to do something hurt this year, so of course he was going to struggle. He relies on his athleticism, and that was taken away from him this season. He still averaged around 15 points which is kind of impressive considering the circumstances.

You think the other week he thought to himself "hey let me act like I got stuffed by the rim so people can see how i can jump to dunk".

I have had knee injuries, and know how frustrating it is. Its not like you can't walk, or you have anything to show for it, just that "it" factor, the extra jump, or pep in your run, or the jumpstart in your sprint, or the spring when you jump, it isn't there. And it hurts, then your leg kind of goes dead leg on your for a bit, and then you can barely jog. You can go 3 days it feels great, and then a day where you have to be on crutches because you can't put weight on it. Its a frustrating thing to deal with.

I am not even going to touch on McGradys playoff struggles or anything like that, and I am not saying he is our savior or will bring us to the promise land, what I am saying is he is a HOUSTON ROCKET, he wears the same jersey that former rocket greats hakeem, drexler, horry, calvin, rudy t, etc. have worn, and he fights just like every rockets we have had. If you want to say he doesn't fight, or doesn't care, watch last years playoffs, he may have not done always the right thing in the game, but he did everything 110%. When everyone else quit against the spurs years ago down 10 with a minute left, he didn't quit. This season, yes it seems like he has quit, but he has been frustrated with his knee, so question is knee, and its durability. Don't question his heart.

He has given respect to our fans, and our organization by playing his hardest night in and night out since he has been here, so you could at least respect him and give him your support in his rehab. Anything less is undeserving to Tracy and is very immature and makes you look ridiculous.

(in this post I did not intend to insult anyone personally nor talk down to anyone, sorry if it came out that way)

barry sanders was a good teammate. he worked hard. he behaved with class. biggio and bagwell led their teams, showed up every day, played with dignity. bagwell even played in the world series with a shoulder that was falling apart.

by contrast, tracy doesnt work, didnt rehab in the offseason, came into camp out of shape for the second year in a row, and has had a terrible me-first attitude the whole time. i dont see why you want to defend a guy whose job is to play basketball, when he doesnt take his job seriously. in any other profession, he would have been fired.

in my opinion, its kind of disgraceful to even put him in the same category as those other guys.

I think you need to step away, calm down, and get some perspective on life. You should not wish that on anyone, much less someone who has not done anything to you personally, and has not committed any major crimes that I know of.

Sports are supposed to be fun, remember?

Agreed. A big WTF to everybody acting like some internet tough guy, stomping on a basketball player with written jabs. I'm pretty sure I saw you guys at the bag store the other day, aisle douche. What is with your incessant b****ing and moaning? This is a game. I am certain you each have either jobs, children, school, spouses, financial issues, moral dilemas, political worries, fear of terrorism, dreams of scary rabbits, or a combination of these issues to worry about. Sports should rank at the very bottom of positive priorities. It is a game where tall athletic freaks put a ball into a basket. It is fun and entertaining, a great way to stay in shape and an awesome hobby to keep up with.

Sports in general have permeated into mainstream America. Everyone knows who Lebron is now...this is a great and a sad thing. It is a great accomplishment when a society can relate to certain mediums. However, it sucks that those mediums are often not worthwhile...
Look, I don't care how much "caring happens" in the NBA- basketball players aren't heros for doing what decent men do. Viola Vaughn is a hero... but I bet many of you (who would know bench fodder the likes of Marcus Williams or Brian Skinner) don't know who she is. These guys don't deserve this much love nor do they deserve this much hate (as is the case here). They don't deserve that much of our time and attention. Most don't want it... the ones that do often manifest a most beautiful irony... a host of scorn from the fans that ridicule their want of attention.

When you guys get so angry to the point of threatening/wishing death, aside from displaying your complete inability to operate in a civilized society, it is like you are trying to say-
Hey reader, you see how angry I am? Yeah, well that wasn't an accident. In fact, I thought it was so clever that I didn't think your simple mind would be able to comprehend the sheer amount of anger I possess, and I wanted to make sure you know that I'm not only angry enough to wish death upon a player on my local pro basketball team, but that I'm capable of typing out said hatred on an internet board.
The sheer level of narcissism it takes to think that anyone gives a **** about whether or not you like Tmac is mind boggling. Some of you out-Tmac Mcgrady himself. Further distiguishing your ineptitude is your death wish on him. Look, if you are going to wish death... at least be creative. IE "I wish Tmac would attempt to strangle himself on top of precarious ladder surrounded by spikes and blood thristy gerbils" or "I wish Tmac would shoot himself in a room covered in flubber...that way when he missed it would eventually ricochet and hit him." or "put him in a room with a bomb and the only way to deactivate it is to make a dunk"

There are a lot of idiots in this world. The incredibly untalented Rhianna if she stays with that d-bag is an example... the people that obsess over the situation being the superior example. Let us not make the same mistake. A big trade might or might not go down tommorow. Either way, this won't put food on your table, tell your family you love them, ect. If you have real anger issues, see a shrink Shirley. If not, put your priorities in the right place. GO ROCKETS...but go more important things first. When you wish death on someone, even if it was just a poor attempt at bad humor, you crossed a line. Check your fandom at the door for a while. It might be good for your health.

Were you with him this offseason? How do you know he didn't rehab?

Everyone is like, he came in overweight! HE IS LAZY HE DIDNT REHAB!

With a bummed knee, you can rehab, but you are still going to gain weight. You CANNOT do high intensity cardio or a lot of vital exercises to stay in shape. You knee doesn't permit you to do it.

Im pretty sure prior to this year, our problem wasn't T Mac didn't bring it- our problem was, our other 4 didn't bring it.

Are you telling me guys like mike james, bob sura, juwon howard, stromile swift, bonzi wells, luther head, chuck hayes- THOSE are the guys who are supposed to be a championship team supporting cast? A lot of those players don't even belong on the end of the bench, let alone being reserves- or STARTERS for that matter.

Put Kobe with those guys, see what happens- oh wait... it did happen, he got knocked out by the suns two years in a row, with probably a better supporting cast then T Mac did.

And before you bring Yao in the picture, he was hurt the past two years, and before that he was mediocre offensively and horrible on defense. He was just a big liability that sat under the basket. Yao hadn't become all star level until 3 years back, but he has been hurt.

Again, I am not saying Tracy is the best player in the NBA, I am saying everyone writes him off because he can't win a ring being supported by guys who have no business in the NBA. This season was his legit chance- and guess what, he was unlucky. He had an injury. Prior to this season, I want you to point out one season where he had a decent enough supporting cast to get out of hte first round. And don't bring up 'oh he blew those x amount of game leads', becasue his team those years had no business being in the lead in teh first place

He came as close as possible to saying he didn't work hard in the offseason when he spent the first day with that trainer this year and went on about how hard it was and how great he felt.

Usually when you walk into ongoing traffic....you die.

Its ridiculous the wishes some of you have here, the dude has a family, 3 kids and wife who love for the person he is not the basketball player. Its just wrong to wish that, im the minority in this thread but it's one thing to hate his game and another to threaten a person that has done nothing to you.

No disrespect to Biggio and Bagwell, but history says they didn't show up in the post-season, especially Bagwell.
