Don't get me wrong. Deep down I know Tmac is a great guy. But him being totally unprofessional lately really make him look bad. I feel for the guy and I want really want him to win a Championship with Houston and Yao. But something is really fishy going on here and I don't like it.
tell me any star willingly blocking his own dunk just to sabotage a team's trade plans. it doesn't matter if he comes back and play better, that play will be on highlights forever and is an embarrassment.
To be fair... the Rockets medical staff isn't exactly the most reliable. These are the same guys that misdiagnosed Yao last season, which ended up being a career ending injury.
I agree, Tracy was hurting the team more than helping it. I think with the chemistry the team has without McGrady... it could lead to Championship Contender Status.
It won't happen but if McGrady and the doctors concede that he is done and he gives up his salary next season, it will make up for some of his theatrics.
I've taken my contacts out and don't feel like reading all pointless blah blah. But to this dumb theory that he's having surgery so he's not traded(which I don't know if that is what you think, just talking in general). Why in the hell would he have a surgery take keeps you out for a year just so he's not traded? Makes no sense.
Is microfracture surgery something a player can just decide to have because of soreness in his knee? Doesn't there actually have to be a serious structural defect for that to be a sensible option? We're talking about a serious operation. One that's quite possibly career-ending. Why would McGrady want to go through that, ending the best chance he's ever had of vindicating his career up to this point by getting to the second round? It really makes absolutely no sense.
I don't know how far the Rockets can go without McGrady, but I'm convinced that they're more competitive without him. The best thing he could do now is just disappear and not be a distraction.
After reading this maybe I should put my glasses on. But meant to say Why in the hell would he have surgery that keeps you our for a year just so he's not traded?
The guy's having a nervous breakdown. Last week after his last MRI he said he wasn't considering surgery and that he would play after the All Star Break. Remember the press conference? What he needs is a nice, long vacation far away from the Rockets and Houston. How about Paris, France?
Maybe he went from doctor to doctor because his body was telling him sonething wasn't right. I have tried to make this point in other threads - doctors sometimes misdiagnos a problem. I have seen it with my own daughter who went in for a simple arthroscopic surgery. I never did feel right to her and she was in constant pain. Original doccs told her it was "all in her head" and to deal with it basically. Turns out a second opinion discovered there really was something wrong. Both doctors were rated some of the best orthopedics in Houston - different diagnosis.
As hard as it is for me to say this OP your absolutely correct T-Mac knew there was a deal on the table and pulled this ! All I can say is that the complete truth has not come out yet so I give T-Mac that much but thats it. He played with this organizatons minds and at this point I really would like to see him just move on. I wish him the best and no harm what so ever. You can go back and check everyone of my posts and I have never bashed T-Mac !! I have been one of his supporters but not any more !!!!!!
