Worst Video Game Ending Ever - Half Life 2 (* SPOILERS *)

San Andreas had an ending that lead to mixed reactions. I was shocked when the end credits roled. It was a long mission that did end the game well. Just a little weird it ended the way it did.

 

They both rip you off. They just tell you there's going to be another sequel. That's the point.

And all Halo 2 did for most people was piss them off that they really didn't do any 'battling on Earth' - which was what folks were expecting by the hype and that they just had another unresolved game.

Since both do the same thing, the path on the way there is all I really look at. And neither Halo 2 or Half Life 2 let me down there.

 

And, 10 years from now, they'll release that one.

Anyway, for Half-Life, you just want it for Counterstrike 2 anyway.

 

Halo2 is a great game and is better than the first but Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake eater is the game of the year for me. Gameplay is awesome and the story is just as good. Almost like you're playing part of a movie. I just don't know why this game is underatted and being overshadowed by Halo2 and San Andreas. I guess you're have to be a fan to enjoy it, but I was a casual gamer until I played Sons of Liberty and got hooked in the Metal Gear series. Who was sad when you watch the ending of MGS 3? I've gain a lot more respect for Boss after that....she was just a great, cool character.

 

But they said outright at the beginning that it was a dream.

Friday the 13th and the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES share the worst ending ever, if only for the extreme amount of difficulty beating them requires.

 

if you think about it, the thread title is a spoiler.

you put worst video game ending ever, and then put HL2.

you don't have to work for CSI to figure that out.

other than that, i cant find me a ps2

 

Are you nuts? The Ninja Turtles ending was da bomb. I mean, Splinter turns back into his human form. Who would have seen that one coming?


Those endings have got nothing on Karnov:

A black screen with "Congratulations! The End."

That's it.

 

Fine, it may be subjective, but, what if you havent played Half Life 2, and beat it yet, but you look at the title, and say, oh man, the ending is going to suck.
