Go listen to Gus during March Madness games and I promise you'll come around. Easily one of my favorite announcers in the country. He takes excitement to a whole new level especially with all the upsets in college basketball.
John Madden: "BOOM" "POWW" "BAAM" Annoying as to hell hear this guy talk about football. Al Micheals looks so much more competent with his information. Madden has a hard time articulating stuff cause he is getting old and so he stutters all the way through the game like an idiot.
Ken Harrelson of the White Sox is pretty damn bad too - well maybe more annoying than bad with his pet phrases of "he'll grab some bench" (after an opposing player has struck out) and "you can put it on the board (board is held out for effect)...YESSSS" (always done after a White Sox player hits a homer).
