I love 50 ways. (it brings back memories of my parents wood paneled station wagon and 8-track player) But is is a good song regardless.
50 Ways has one of the most recognizable drum grooves (thank you Steve Gadd) ever. EVAR. That, plus Rosanna by Toto, but I digress... What about that HORRID song by R Kelly about the wife having an affair with the midget who pissed his pants, or something like that? How does that guy even pull a paycheck? I don't think I could have written a more idiotic song if I tried...
You all are welcome to disagree but just because somethings famous, doesn't make it good. See 95+% of the Top 40 Songs... I don't see 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover as anything but a 70's Top 40 trash song - and there were a bunch back then.
"Hey Baby" by No Doubt Actually anything from Gwen Stefani I also don't like any of the songs from AAR, FOB, or any of today's pop-punk rock bands Anything by BEP is bad,too. Although "Where is the Love" was ok.

My 2 cents on it (cuz someone already contributed the 50 cent okay that was lame. Almost as lame as Candy Shop. anyways.....) Top 40 to me is more a slightly-above-average/middle ground of whats out there song-wise. Even though it really does take talent to be picked up by a major label, the songs on top 40 arent always the best quality. Sure there are examples of true talented musicians out there we dont pay attention to enough or havent heard about, who truly make it into the art form it "should" be. And songs that are just plain good no matter who makes them. Then there are also the subpar crappy local acts and cover bands and American Idol wannabe rejects who'll never ever in their life make one good song. Including all of us in this forum

I take it that "FOB" stands for Fall Out Boy but what does "AAR" and "BEP" stand for? I'm sorry for not being more hip to today's music but I guess that is what happens when you don't listen to much music of today.

well we are talking about the worst SONG not band, I'm guessing the song sucks. I don't know about the band. But I would be more than happy to review the song for you when I get home.
