None of their songs should be entered into this tourney...but I concur with your feelings. Very weak stuff!

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Fergie's "Glamorous"

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UgX1WLoqCO8"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UgX1WLoqCO8" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

    Worst. Song. Ever. Period.

What about that ass clown who did the video out on the beach while singing about America. He was wearing an American flag doo-rag and really tripping out the suckometer. I tried you-tubing for that video...but couldn't find it. Anyone...anyone??? (It's been posted on here before...I couldn't find it here either.)

    :D I like your style, david_rocket.

Seems like MEXICO has at least ONE POPULAR girls+guys group at any point in time. Sometimes they overlap... any new band is picking up all the crowd from the previous band's popularity. Adding insult to injury is the fact that the latest one, Rebelde, is out of a f*cking SOAPOpera.

Some of these 'before your time':
    PARCHIS
TIMBIRICHE --- epoch ends here, bad music begins :
    MESTIZO
    GARIBALDI
    RBD (ReBelDe)

I forget some of these... you must know their names.

I am tired of going into every freakin' Mexican restaurant or Mexican taquería and there is at least ONE REBELDE POSTER or a REBELDE song playing. JEEz, that is freaking annoying.

That's what I meant bladeage... sorry it didn't come out like that, but I meant to say that after them, everyone else sucked. Every band AFTER Timbiriche made BAD music. They were the end of the good music. Every other boy/girl combination band after them were just duplicating their style and music.

Damn... there are more, but I can't remember.

    For your tournament, please consider:

I nominate, 'Y Soy Rebelde' by 'Rebelde'. I hope it's the first MEXICAN song to win a tourney in CF.net. After you hear it, it will be the top WORST song here. credit to david_rocket

Maybe you like it because you used to drive 'a Mustang,' or maybe because 'you know your daddy told you so,' Faos? ;)

Laffy taffy, rock yo hips, pop lock and drop it, and I am one of Jay-Z's biggest fans but the song H to the Izzo is one of the worst songs I have ever heard!
This line itself made the song sound stupid:
    "H to the izz-O, V to the izz-A
Fo' sheezy my neezy keep my arms so freezy"

alright need some input on the how to setup the tourney.. seems like we have an even amount of pop and rap songs.. very few rock or .. other genres. Should i face off the songs at random or should i face off only rap and only pop then the final will be worst pop song vs worst rap song? Since we are trying to find the WORST song, i dont think genre should matter should it?

I like pretty much all Simon and Garfunkel material but I dislike most of Simon's solo stuff. And that is the trash of trash.

Slip out the back Jack - Make a new plan Stan - Don't need to be coy Roy

Please - you call that a masterpiece?

Tell me how that is better than Scarborough Fair or I am a Rock or even Bridge over Troubled Water (which isn't my favorite).

Are you goin to scarborough fair? parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there, she once was a true love of mine

Tell her to make me a cambric shirt, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Without no seams nor needlework, then shell be a true love of mine

Tell her to find me an acre of land, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Between the salt water and the sea strand, then shell be a true love of mine

Tell her to reap it in a sickle of leather, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
And to gather it all in a bunch of heather, then shell be a true love of mine

Are you goin to scarborough fair? parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there, she once was a true love of mine

^^^how freaking gay do you like your lyrics?

you cherry picked from 50 ways. here's the rest:

"The problem is all inside your head", she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover

She said it's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued
But I'll repeat myself at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

You just slip out the back, Jack
    Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
    Just get yourself free
    Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
    And get yourself free

Ooo slip out the back, Jack
    Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
    Just listen to me
    Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
    And get yourself free

She said it grieves me so to see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do to make you smile again
I said I appreciate that and would you please explain
    About the fifty ways

She said why don't we both just sleep on it tonight
And I believe in the morning you'll begin to see the light
And then she kissed me and I realized she probably was right
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

You just slip out the back, Jack
    Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
    Just get yourself free
    Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
    And get yourself free

    Slip out the back, Jack
    Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
    Just listen to me
    Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
    And get yourself free

^^^great, great lyrics. or do you not care about that?
the song has 2 distinct tones and moods that play off and compliment each other in inventive ways i've not heard before or since. it's the tale of love ending and starting again, it's the euphoria of getting back on the horse again. i find it compelling.

in scarborough fair, he's crying like a pansy about his lost love. to each his own i guess.

Best Paul Simon tune is still "Something so Right".

Well, maybe that and "American Tune".

Ok, maybe those two and "Old Friends".

Ok, maybe those three and "Still Crazy After All These Years".

Or almost anything from "Graceland" or "The Rythem of the Saints".

    ....

    Damn.

Paul Simon, with or without Garfunkel, is an amazing artist. Still my personal favorite.

I guess to each his own thegary. I personally find the music and lyrics of one poetic and mood changing and the other one trashy.
