Never broke any bones. But I had a kidney stone a year ago, not sure if you count that as injury- but it hurt like ****.
LOL @ people answering many injuries for "the worst". [Classic Moments] picture. Signature worthy.
Tore Achilles playing baseball. Worst pain I've had, long recovery time as well. Got hit in the back of the head with a golf club... never seen so much blood before. Broke two fingers at different times but wasn't bad. Several more injuries but the stupidest/most clumsy of them all was I rested my left wrist on a hot stove (didn't realize it was on). Arm boiled up and was nasty looking and painful. Wasn't the smartest thing I've done in my life.
Another injury I just remembered was a sprained big toe during a basketball game in high school. Who would've thought that you actually need the thing to be able to walk. I was on crutches for like two weeks.
I've had a collection of broken bones and the only ones that bothered me were my ribs. I think I'd take any of them over the 3rd degree ankle sprain and dislocated shoulder. Those take too damn long to heal. Not sure which of the two I'd classify as "worst" though. Ankle vs Shoulder... I do pretty well on crutches so with that in mind I'll say the shoulder was the worst. Naturally loose rotator cuffs and hitting water at about 90 mph don't mix well evidently.
Sorry, I should have clarified. Talk about awkward.... It was during the ice storm back in the early 90's. Everything was iced over including the power lines. I was living in a tiny apartment in Huntsville with 1 gas heater providing all the heat for the whole place. I got up in the middle of the night to turn it down a little and while looking for a flashlight, I stubbed my toe on a table. Turns out it was broken and I had to go to the hospital the next day. So yeah, I can see why you were a little taken aback by my original post. There was no ice storm 10 years ago. It was more like 20 years ago. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
