Coming up at 7:00pm CST: NBC: Deal or No Deal PBS: America's Ballroom Challenge CBS: Big Brother ABC: Wife Swap Fox: American Idol WB: America's Next Top Model My. God. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <---for SWTsig.
Not all of it. NBC was already moving to unscripted at 7am across the Board (except for Thursdays), and America's Next Top Model is the CW's highest rated show and would be on this time of year in that time slot regardless. American Idol is also a Wednesday night show this time of year. Big Brother is normally a summer show, though, and was brought up to Spring specifically to fill schedule gaps caused by the WGA strike (though Wednesday at 7pm was reality in the Fall, too, before the strike). So, it may be that Wife Swap is the only thing replacing a scripted show Wednesday night at 7pm (and Wife Swap has been around for a few years, but I don't know what day or time it was ever on before).
Wife Swap is usually pretty interesting. It provides a real cultural clash with real tension and everybody usually ends up learning something and appreciating someone else's POV.
I was flipping channels on my Direct TV satellite service, because Comcast sucks ......Jeff.......... I ran into a show that had .38 Special against Eddie Money with Meatloaf as the host. They were guessing music that teammates would play on some little mouth device. It was dumb, but it was for charity.
