worst gm in the NBA ?

    Believe it or not, Ellison was better than Smith -- Joe only had two decent years (his first two), and Ellison's 3rd and 4th years were better.

    Besides, as least Pervis can blame injuries.

    Didn't Scott Layden come to the Knicks just last offseason? If it was only a year ago, how many of those salaries can he be blamed for? Allan Houston's and Weatherspoon's. Anyone else?

    Besides, what's so bad about having a bloated payroll? They can still acquire talent when they're over the cap. Besides, even when they were the worst they'd been in years, they were still in the playoffs.
